A rollercoaster supernatural romance mystery!
If you love supernatural romances with an air of mystery and angst, not to mention delectable slices of life as you get to know the characters, you must read! I love the mix of heartwarming and heartwrenching. The spooky vibes and the beautiful descriptions. The mood really is set by the creative use of imagery and you feel like you're there with the characters.I love how the supernatural aspects aren't tackily obvious. They're subtle and just a natural part of the story and the characters lives. It's just there and I don't think the words are even said like 'you are this' for a long time. I just liked that change it was refreshing.Richard is such a stalker at the beginning but it's completely obliviously done. Or all in the greater good shall we say.For a big chunk of the story it's a balance of spooky mystery and a relationship of misunderstandings. It's a great mix of realistic lifestyle trauma and emotions with the supernatural. The tension builds and builds slowly until it can't be contained and then it sort of explodes and I loved it so much!!! The way both troubled and secretive guys just sort of unleash it all on each other. When they start to take down some walls between them, their banter is so fun. I loved all the little one-liners between them.I love how the domestic bliss gets sucker-punched by the underlying plot at the most unexpected times as well just. Og my gosh. Cannot recommend enough! It was such a rollercoaster of a tale!

Fangtastic Debut
A wonderful debut novel with a lovely style.Blair is a tortured soul on the run. Richard is a tall, not dark but white-haired and handsome vampire on his case - the new boy in town needs to be watched; he may not be safe.I loved Blair's arc, watching him grow in confidence. And his penchant for kitsch, fangy clothing is super cute.Richard is tall and brooding. Until you scratch his surface. There are some really sweet moments. And the x2 steams are a huge payoff for the very slow burn.A whole host of well-rounded characters pepper this gripping story e.g. Chastity, Collin and Boots (a kitty). And the ending is all kinds of dramatic.

Couldn’t put it down
This book was wonderful. It’s pretty chunky but kept me hooked the whole way through. The plot is intricate, and well-thought-out, with twists to keep you interested. The central relationship was lovely, combining the dawning realisation of the supernatural elements at work in the town, with soft, lonely boys drawn together. It was a small town mystery and a spicy love story, and I really recommend it.I received a free copy of this book via Indie Author Creative and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Queen of Slow Burn
Where do I start this was a thicc book and I loved every second of it! Fae is the epitome of a slow burn writer she builds and builds the tension until you’re panting for it!!Fae has such a descriptive writing style that you can visualise everything and it’s done in such a natural way that you feel like you’re experiencing everything these characters do! Your in their heads and I find this such a unique talent.Blair is such a sweet boy that has seen to much trauma in his young life, he returns to the town where his first tragedy struck when he was just 8 years old and things aren’t straight forward but as the story unfolds you see him develop this inner strength that is just beautiful to watch unfold.Richard hasn’t had it easy but he feels an instant connection to Blair that volleys him into action to defend Blair. I loved seeing their relationship develop the chemistry was undeniable between these two, although after some miscommunication Blair definitely tried to deny it 😂. Richards character soon won out but angst and secrets keep you on your toes. Both these characters and a few of the side characters, along with a enthralling story kept me turning page after page.I highly recommend reading this beautiful story!

Slow burn with heavy plot
Goodness this was a meaty book. The first thing I will say is this is the definition of a slow burn romance. This is the second book I’ve read by Fae and I have to say, she loves to write in detail. She is incredibly descriptive from character emotion, down to the surroundings, smells and others in and around at that moment.I’m fascinated with her writing structure in this as it felt like it was in 3 parts. The first half was very little dialogue, but very detailed internal dialogue and feelings from Blair’s perspective in particular, so she sets the scene on who he is and what he has come from. Then the middle of the book you get more interactions, a lot more intensity of dialogue with Richard, Chastity and others surrounding Blair, which felt like you were being built up to prepare for the finale. Then, the final third of the book was just explosion of plot secrets, twists, hot vamp sex and just everything coming together in this torrent of information.Highly recommend.
