An amazing sequel
I absolutely loved the first game, so when I saw they were making a sequel I had to buy it day one!Its thought this was a big improvement on the first one, still the same amazing humor and fun game play, but better! I hope they continue making games like this.

Fractured But Whole builds on the original but pokes fun at the big movie super hero franchises as it ...
What can I say except, Genius! Fractured But Whole builds on the original but pokes fun at the big movie super hero franchises as it does it. Battle is much superior than the first game, with a grid which shows move directions for both attack and defence. The Social economic status game in the Bank is also an unusual addition to the game, reflecting on both the greed and perceived status of capitalists, the rich and the wanna be's.The hardness dificulty of the game being determined by skin colour is also another bold social statement on society in general. Now Butters was the star of the first game IMO, but Captain diabetics did an excellent job of carrying the game until Butters was playable. I know Butter is a born victim, but what he does with hamsters, well thats for animal welfare groups to comment on. Randy Marsh is also very entertaining. All in all, great fun, witty dialogue, good story line. Enjoy!

Head on down to South Park, go and have yourself a time
South Park The Fractured But Whole is an RPG set in our favourite Colorado town. You play as "the new kid" and are thrust into the crazy world of the show. And you're probably going to love every minute of it.It feels like you're in the show. The style is identical, so you feel that the game is part of the cannon and it's easy to dive right in. The characters are the characters from the show and continue the story arc. I love that there are continual reminders that the main characters are kids; from the get go your fights will be interrupted by a passing car, for example. Despite the heroes getting involved in some pretty serious stuff as the game develops, it doesn't let you forget that you're playing as ten year olds. The humour is what you'd expect - if you don't like South Park's humour it won't surprise you to know that you probably won't like this. If you do like it, then you're in for a laugh a minute. I don't think I've ever laughed as hard at a difficult slider than I have in this game. The game is stylistically exactly what it should be - it's serious enough to suck you into the story, whilst not detracting from the humour. The gameplay isn't too complex, but is engaging and challenging, and the game varies things enough to keep it fresh - it's in playing around with its own rules that the game really comes into its own. There are certainly some technical elements that pull the game away from being 5* in my opinion. The crafting could be a more important feature - as it stands, you need only craft what the game instructs you to craft, and everything else is a bit superfluous. The side missions were far less impressive than the main story. I felt the game was a bit on the short side and I really wanted some more - I'll be clocking in at around 20 hours and I'm quite a slow player. And my game has been plagued with glitches which have been game-breaking on a few occasions. These can of course be fixed in due course, but they're relatively frequent for a major release such as this. But the negatives can definitely be overlooked. I've been playing the game for the last week and I keep wanting to go back for more. I've thoroughly enjoyed my time in South Park, and I'd definitely recommend the game to everyone who enjoys South Park. Despite it's technical shortcomings at times, it's one of the most enjoyable games I've played this year. It's a valuable addition to the series, and honestly really good fun.PS - A word on micro-transactions: there are none. Some reviewers (elsewhere) complain about micro-transactions in the game, but these are actually purchased using Ubisoft's own points which you earn by playing the game (and other Ubisoft games). You can't even buy them in exchange for money. It's a bit annoying going through the UPlay server for some artefacts, but it's a minor inconvenience at worst. You've paid for the game, and you're getting the game. Enjoy it.

Fun and Funny. Like playing through a giant episode.
South Park's second outing into the RPG genre doesn't disappoint. Less shocking in story than The Stick of Truth but just as funny. Set in familiar locations from the show, it is packed full of little references and Easter eggs. Matt and Trey find news ways to express their unique sense humour outside of the television format. The gameplay, driven by turn based combat, is given depth through a new system of movement on a grid. This is a welcome change that adds difficulty and strategy to the brilliant formula struck in the first game.Would thoroughly recommend to RPG fans and fans of the show alike.

It's an interactive episode, just not a great one.
Straight out let's point out that I'm a south park fan, it has highs and lows but overall the quality is high. The game however is meh.I played and enjoyed the stick of truth, this is a little dull by comparison. No Canada, no Alien spaceships, it feels a little empty. The story is weak, I kept waiting for something to happen but that moment never seemed to arrive (maybe in the dlc for more money.)All of that is opinion however. Factually the game on my PS4 was buggy, it froze plenty of times and one particular boss battle crashed the game out multiple times. I'd recommend waiting a year and buying a goty or ultimate package when it's finally released, might be a better deal then.

Such a great game
I maybe slightly bias, as am a huge south park fan, but I really was not disappointed in this game. Much better than the previous title (stick of truth), and feels like one long episode of south park. The jokes and funny moments are always arriving whilst playing, and even non-fans of the series would get a huge amount of enjoyment out of this game. There's approx 35-50 hours of game play here (excluding the DLCs) depending on how many side missions you do to full completion etc - so plenty of bang for your buck!
