The Chemical Hut 10 Litres Of Eco Safe Citrus Based Cleaner Degreaser For Hard Surfaces Removes Oil Grease Algae Traffic Film Dust

I used to use citrus degreaser from a well known cycle industry brand years ago. It was great, but around five times the price of this stuff. Since I wouldn’t pay that much, I’ve been relying on more traditional solvents for cleaning cycle components since then, but they’re nowhere near as effective. I therefore tried this, not expecting it to be as effective. I was wrong - it’s superb! I find that even when used on cycle chains I can dilute it 50/50 with water and it’s still extremely effective - to clear dirt film it would certainly be fine to dilute it further, whilst I’d use it neat on very heavily greased-up parts. I can’t recommend it enough - excellent value for money.

This stuff is great. I bought it almost in desperation really as I had been really, really disappointed with various other proprietory brands. I am ordinarily sceptical of anything with the 'Eco' bit in its title as I have this idea that they simply cannot be any good as they don't contain any 'nasties'. This stuff has proved me wrong (Well at least as far as this product goes) It really does do what it says on the container and it is easy to rinse off and it smells nice.If I had to identify an area where the Eco Safe Virosol falls down it would be on it's degreasing claim. There are products out there which will do that job better (petrol for instance but there are at least a couple of downsides with that...) But, to be fair, the degreasing task I set for Virosol was a bit of a tall order (degreasing a 46 year old Jaguar engine with about 5mm of gritty oil caked thereon so, maybe I was being a tad ambitious.All in all, good stuff. Don't use it neat on your alloys as it will leave them looking a bit 'powdery' although that can be washed off.

Removed tobacco stains from walls after 2 years of person smoking. we just sprayed on walls ( diluted) and wiped ! wonder product.I hardly needed any so this amount will last ages and can't wait to try on other stuff.

I have used this product specifically for degreasing bicycle chains, cassettes, derailleurs etc.It is by far in my testing of various degreasing agents the most effective and most economical. Other Citrus degreasing agents which are similar just don’t clean as quick or in my opinion do the job effectively enough or quick enough.Just ensure you know what your doing and dilute as required or use neat for the worst jobs for metal parts. If using neat be sure not to leave on painted surfaces as it can if not used properly have an impact on paint work and other coatings.

I purchased this as a garage cleaner and alternative to tfr. Diluted 5:1 it still removes oil & grime residue from the back wheel of a motorcycle with a small amount of agitation with a brush. As far as I have experimented it's safe for paintwork, aluminium and rubber. It did oxidise bare aluminium when I left a chunk soaking in the neat solution for over a day but if u rinse off before it drys I can't see any negatives. Smells nice but don't get it in ur eyes. It's about 1/10th the cleaning power of brake cleaner in my opinion and if used for vehicles I'd recommend a pressure sprayer for a few quid keeps it safe n tidy.

Brought this to degrease bike down as advised by my nephew as I would normally use paraffin. when obviously watered down under put into a atomiser it is superb. Also on alloy wheels.. But do do follow mixing percentages as this stuff is potent.
