Excellent value cutter.
I bought this for one specific job involving 15mm and 22mm copper pipe. I had one of these some time ago but ended up dropping it down a wall cavity and it was lost for good. The price of this Rolson was sufficiently low to warrant buying another one, even for just one job.It's small and adjustable, making it perfect for tight spaces and varying pipe sizes. There is a small amount of play on the cutter wheel and this does very occasionally induce some spiraling, but on the whole, I've found it cuts perfectly and neatly. The colour in the picture is slightly misleading, as I received a red one, but that's not really of any importance. What IS important is that it's an excellent value choice. I would heartily recommend it.

Good value for money. Ok for DIY projects but not for professionals.
Very cheap and does the job. However, if you require absolute precision then this is not for you. It just has some give which makes it hard to get the initial grove straight. Perfect for my purposes (did both plastic tube and steel) and ok if you file it down afterwards but not good for the "perfectionist".Tip: if you cut small and short tubes that fit in a drll, do that. The result was much cleaner and it was extremely fast. Instead of twistinng the tube cuter around the tube, you use the drill to do the work and hold the cutter steady. Not sure its safe but the result was good!

The pipe cutter did not cut a 4.75mm OD copper brake pipe
I was very disappointed to find that despite its claims, this pipe cutter would not cut a 4.75mm OD copper brake pipe, it managed to make a small line around the circumference but even when tightening the wheel with pliers it would not cut the soft copper pipe. I used a junior hacksaw in the end. It is a sturdy unit and looks well built but the cutting wheel is not at all sharp, which is whe main component and must be sharp enough to cut!Because it was so cheap I have not sent it back, but I cannot recommend this Rolson Tool, simply not fit for purpose!
