These are great when you have young children and you are teaching them about time in a way that is easy to understand.We use them to give our three year old daughter an idea how long is left before she starts or finishes something like tidying up.Each is a different colour indicating a different amount of time.Black 30 secondsBlue 1 minutePink 2 minutesYellow 3 minutesGreen 5 minutesRed 10 minutesGood size and made of plastic so convenient and safe to use with children.These should last year's and best of all they really do help when your child needs structured time to be prepared for something.The only improvement would be a proper case for them all rather than clear plastic that they come in.

I nearly didn't buy these as I was put off by the HUGE number of glowing reviews quoting the tacky marketing talk within them where this product had been supplied free in return for reviews. It was well and truly overkill. However, after looking beyond that I thought I' give them a go. They are well made functional sand timers. The bright colours for the different times are great as it is really easy to see quickly which one you need when you're used to which colour = which time. The times are clearly labelled on the top. Made of plastic they are obviously safe to have round children - we keep one of them in the bathroom for teeth brushing. My son is used to timers at nursery, so they've been well accepted at home.

Fairly well made construction wise, but they do not run time as described. Not one timer is correct with the 2 minute one running out in 30 seconds! I purchased these to try and encourage my 3 year old child to speed up eating dinner but unfortunately they are not fit for purpose due to the incorrect times.

These are brilliant timers. They have been great as a motivational aid for getting tasks done, such as getting dressed and also for ensuring teeth are cleaned for the proper length of time. They are well made, sturdy enough that when they have been dropped on laminate kitchen floor, they did not break. These would particularly useful for visual learners or for those not yet able to tell the time.

Utterly useless. None of them are near to what they should be. Obviously they are very cheap but I expected at least a little bit of accuracy but every time I timed them it was a completely different time. Very poor accuracy. Go and buy a real one

One of the sandtimer, green one, is damp inside and sticks assuming these are sealed so not sure how this has happened. Not overly impressed. Few others soon followed suit.

Sand timers are not accurate sadly had to re label and throw some away very upsetting but I'll order from somewhere else

Not very precise. The 30sec, 2 min and 3min timers are accurate. The 1min is 2 mins, the 5 min is about 20secs longer but the 10min timer is 8min 45. I'm not too bothered as I just wanted a visual timekeeper for my kids, so will still use them but might be worth spending a bit more money if accuracy is what you're after
