Brilliant workout for upper body
The Speedo Biofuse Hand Paddles are well made and easy to use. I'd never used paddles before (thinking they were for elite swimmers only). One 20 minute session in the pool showed that they were easy to use, promoted good technique and made you expend more effort in swimming through the water. The fit is good for me (17 cm / 6.5 inch wrist circumference) and there is plenty of adjustment. If you've particularly large wrists and fingers like sausages then you may want to try these in a shop first. The paddles come with 2 types of restraining strap. One type has separate fore finger and wrist straps (as illustrated in the marketing material), the other is a single strap which plugs into the front and rear adjustment holes and sandwiches your hand between the strap and the paddle. I've used both but found the finger and wrist straps work most comfortably for me on a 500m swimming drill. There are no instructions in the box but then again if you can't work out how to put these things on, then you got bigger problems to worry about. However here is some practical advice on putting these things on. Firstly get in the pool before putting them on (they go on better when your skin and the paddles are wet). Secondly if you're in the deep end trying to put them on - these easiest way is to put your hand through the wrist strap first for each paddle - allowing you to hang onto the side of the pool at the same time. Then quickly slip your 2 fore fingers (my preference) into the finger strap on each, then your ready to go. Nice job speedo - a great training aid.

Great for training and technique
Great paddles for a bit of strength training as well as working on efficient arm stroke. I would also recommend the smaller ones as well, as these can provide too much resistance sometimes and cause excess strain on shoulders. Solid construction and can fit all hand sizes.

Good but some self help needed to solve design defect.
The paddles are very large. I'm a big guy and the medium size is big enough believe me. The big problem is the undersized rubber/silicon straps that do not hold in place and frustratingly give way as you put the paddles on. Other people have mentioned this and the second pair of straps having no instructions as to how to use them. For the latter - it's pretty obvious how they work and you set them up. To solve the wrist strap problem I have put the straps in place and put the ends through the locking holes, then I have tied butchers string to each end to below the last ridge so that it can't then be pulled back through the hole. The string bridges across the paddle to the corresponding other end so effectively complete a loop. You can't notice the string in use and the problem is completely solved. You don't need it for the middle finger strap.Speedo. You need to sort this out as it's shocking that this simple defect in design makes the paddle so frustrating to try to put on and use.

great for workout but they seem flimsy
these paddles are nice for workout. really gave me a hard time .i agree 100% with the label on the package. they have rated 5/5 star for strenght, 4/5 technique. it woks out the technique. they really do .but i am not suse about the longevity and durability . you see , these paddles are construcred with 2 different materials. while the inner core is plastic the outer edges are rubber or silicon. this material is bonded with the plastic but i have my doubts that after a year or even earlier it won't separate. so for now i treat them with extra care. something i didn't had to do with the older model which tehy were just a large and wide piece of plastic. i hope they last.

Great product
Very happy. Great product; I definitely feel the isolated muscle effects after using these. Agree with other comments about getting the elastic bindings to work properly (possibly a 4.5 score if I was being picky), they can be troublesome. I think I have it sorted now though. The feel and design of the paddles is extremely comfortable, but would caution swimmers with a lazy technique that these are not as forgiving as others I have used; I spent the first few lengths reminding myself not to be lazy with fingertips and hand entry. That said, I am definitely feeling the benefits of the 'power' statement. Well done Speedo.

but they work far better than average flat paddles
I am an amateur swimmer, but I have my goals and I look forward to improving my technique and strength. These paddles are very effective: I have used them only twice so far, but they work far better than average flat paddles. I can feel my hand and arm really guided through the water and my muscles work more, because of the larger surface and, consequentially, of the more resistance they get from the water. After training with them, I started a couple of session without and I immediately felt the difference and the improvement reached.I chose a size M: I am not a tall person and my hands aren't too big. Probably a S could have been good, too, but I am glad of the size. They arrived fast, in their Speedo box inside an Amazon parcel: the content also included an additional couple of different straps.I would definitely recommend them, especially to those who aren't just happy with "dull" swimming but want to improve themselves and vary their training.

Fantastic training aid
Brilliant product that has really helped with my swim training. As a competitive swimmer every little bit of help to improve technique, muscle tone, speed etc is really important. This product has definitely done that. Resistance training is greatly improved with these paddles. I am stronger faster as a result of using these in training sessions.
