original reviewlabel says 90% merino: Can't swear to the label's accuracy, but burn test showed there's natural fiber/hair/wool in the sock. Very smooth, soft wool (ie. merino). The fit is good, even after a few times through the dryer (they shrunk, but stretch to hug my foot "just right"). Not the warmest but really smooth merino never is. Socks hit just the spot I wanted on my ankle and are also snug without being overly tight. These socks are so perfect for what I want them for I bought more! Highly recommended.addition:Beware! Real wool means shrinkage! I still love these socks. They are exactly what I am looking for and I'm ordering more...but: they don't stop shrinking! I have gotten spoiled by smart wool (tm?) and am now used to just tossing my wool socks in the dryer with everything else. I love the effect at first: the slight felting makes the socks warmer and more perfectly snug on my feet. But they kept shrinking! And shrinking... After several months of weekly washings the socks are still wearable, but getting close to uncomfortably snug. So I'm buying more! My plan is to wash and dry the new socks just to the sweet spot and then air dry them ever after. So, great socks--soft and warm and real wool--just beware that that means be careful washing and drying.

These are so comfy! I wanted thin wool socks similar to ones I already own and solely for the purpose of wearing with my slippers, as I wanted socks that would not stretch out my slippers too much if I wear the slippers alone. My other thin wool socks I only wear with my slippers because they’re too thin for my liking to wear with hiking boots and my Merrell Jungle Mocs. Tho these aren’t as thin as the other brand I wear with my slippers, they’re just the right thickness that they can be comfortably worn with both my slippers, hiking boots and Mocs. Perfect thickness. Very well made, soft and snuggle my tootsies. :) Highly recommend.

These are make an excellent replacement for cotton or synthetic athletic socks. My feet tend to sweat and they keep my feet more comfortable than anything else I’ve tried. However, I wear a (men’s) size 10 shoe and the size L sock is still just a bit too snug. If you’re feet are larger you might be better served by something else. If smaller give these a try!

These are nice socks. They're thin but warm and are stretchy so they fit very nicely.

Large was the biggest size available, and product page stated this was best fit for me (I always check if the rec is reasonable). Since the socks are supposedly unisex, and lacking any other info, figured rec was, in fact, to be trusted.Not even close. Maybe a good fit for a W size 8 max, 7 more likely, or an average teen girl's size. Socks feel soft and appear well made, but ... they were tight and short.when I pulled one over my hand to judge stretch. Will return for refund.Not the product brand's fault but the zipper bag has slightly glittery, greasy substance smeared on it. Whoever packed into shipping box is responsible, and some transferred onto a small jewelry box in the same order.I thought it was machine grease until I photographed it, and touched it again. The slight glitter showed up under stronger light ... stuff must be eye shadow, though it's nothing I'd get anywhere near *my* eyes. YUCK.

These socks are comfortable. I had previously bought a three pack in grey, and loved them, so I came back to order more. All socks purchased were a size Medium. They do shrink. After only a couple of wears, I can already tell they are not going to last long. But I may buy them again. I need thinner socks, these are them, I can’t stand to wear socks with toe seams, these don’t have any seams. I like a sock that comes up a little over the ankle, this does. It ticks off many boxes. You just may need to purchase several sets, to get the right size.

I do a bit of trail walking with my dogs wearing a hiking shoe and these are perfect for cold weather. I have been wearing a Swiftwick type sock for the compression and wicking but in cold weather they are a little light. These are perfect for winter wear, they are soft merino wool mostly but with some elastic and they wick moisture as well. They are very soft and wear well on the hike.my only downside is the washing instructions say no tumble dry, but it’s not a big deal .
