Q: Does it have to drill holes on the wall? Or can stand itself?

Hi, This product can stand by itself. And it has extra hardware kit called safety set that is included in the package, which you could see from the picture. If you need, you could use this safety set to connect it between the floor stand and the wall. Hope it helps.

it can stand up alone. i dont use the anti tipping wire. no issues yet.

There is a space that we have ours. We use Velcro to secure it and it works fine. We have a Sonos sound bar
