Very good puncture resistant tyre. Used to get lots of punctures with previous tyres but that has stopped now.

exactly what you like for your daily commute especially in a city.Please be aware - due to the stiffness it is not a quick and easy job to get the tyre on the rim. It took me at least 10 minutes and a fair bit of strength in my thumbs. (But I am just an amateur in bike maintenance and might miss a trick or two.)

...for puncture resistance. Hard wearing tire with good rolling resistance. Ride is a touch harder due to the puncture protection so you do feel those stone chips in the road but the excellent puncture protection outweighs that minor inconvenience.

This is what I would call a medium range standard road tyre for general use.. There are plenty of other reviews that reflect upon it's service use. This review simply focuses on it's ease of fit, which was the main reason for buying it, and it was simply brilliant. It went on first time with no problems at all. See below for longer explanation. Clearly different manufacturers have a range of tolerances, but this Schwalbe was a perfect fit for me.I needed to replace a worn out tyre/inner tube combination and initially went for my normal brand (Continental touring plus). This was the first time I had needed to change a tyre on this particular rim and it turned into a nightmare, with constantly pinching the inner tube no matter what I did - and yes I do know what I'm doing having been changing tyres for nearly 40 years of cycling!. I went through three inner tubes and the tyre was on and off the wheel like a yo-yo. The tyre was nominally the correct size but was extremely tight. Eventually in my frustration I damaged the beading on the perfectly new tyre and needed to purchace yet another replacement. Upon investigation it became apparent that this particular rim had a lower upstand than others so that may have caused some seating problems for the tyre. Never the less I needed an alternative and opted to try he Schwalbe. Absolutely fantastic. A perfect fit and no seating worries on the rim. Within 10 mins of opening the package the tyre was fitted and ready to roll.Also fantastic service from Baldwins who supplied the tyre. Immediately re-ordered for further replacements for future use.

Great tyre, riden the last 3 weeks with one on my rear of my Brompton no punctures yet. Able to put 110psi into it (it’s the max) gives good ride and great grip. As it’s only 1.35 you will notice if you haven’t put enough air in it, it will give you a wallowy feel. I would imagine most folk will need to run it at around 100psi which easily obtainable with a track pump, a little more effort with a hand pump. Pretty tough to get on the first time, it stretched a little but still tight, that said hopefully once it’s on you never have to take it off. I had to do mine twice as I didn’t see the ‘Direction of Rotation’ ... doh!!. Overall a great tyre and a perfect addition to any Brompton.Update: Got one for my front wheel now as well, it was soooo hard to fit, I had to do it with a metal tyre levers, Schwalbe 16X1 1/8-1 3/8 Tube presta AV4 (which I would recommend) and swearing!!I have now run with the rear for over 4 months, no punctures and I ride 13miles a day through the parks and roads of London, I'd say that is a good test. I have them at 110psi, it's hard but fast.I would definitely buy again and recommend to anyone with a Brompton needing replacements!!

This type of tyre has seen us through thousands of miles of touring with hardly any punctures or failures.Very good touring tyre for 26” wheel bikes that may have come with those big heavy knobbly “mountain bike “ type tyres.A little more expensive than the cheap alternatives, but never regretted having them on a machine.You will never know how much time and inconvenience these save you over other tyres until you have had them as long as we have.

I picked up 2/3 2016 some 'cheap' tyres cost for 2 £24.99 at the time. Schwalbe Lugano BLACK 700 x 25c Kevlar Active Line Road Bike Tyres & Inner Tubes 2016 Model. Cheap (comparatively speaking) and cheerful good name. I mean why not a tyres a tyre. I had nagging doubts about these particular tyres when they turned up in the post in a less than robust parcel 'folded' up.I have the good fortune to live in the country where the farmers are kind enough to trim the hedges at any given opportunity (helps with light/shade and crop growth) and so in the process scatter thorns onto the road. So a ten minute bike ride would produce a puncture, with a half hour walk back home followed by one hour spent repairing the puncture. After a while I simply gave up riding. I mean you would wouldn't you?.Not riding didn't do my health much good. So on the 16/4/2017 a year later I picked these up and yes it cost nearly as much for one tyre as for the two. I now ride 3/4 hours a day weather permitting and not one, not one puncture in the last year. Bliss. I adore these tyres and yes I'm healthier now thanks for asking.

This is the second set of Schwalbe replacement tires I've purchased. We have two StreetStriders, and this purchase was replacing the front tires on the second Strider. I've been very pleased with the ride, wear, and especially the puncture resistance of the first set.What was even more amazing though was the service from cargomart, the seller. They sent an initial email to verify the tire size, which I appreciated because it potentially would have saved the time and effort of an incorrect order. I also asked a question with my confirmation, and one question turned into multiple questions and I now know more about tires than I ever did. The responses to my questions came same day or next day. So all in all, excellent service and I would definitely recommend purchasing from cargomart if possible.

The media could not be loaded. Très bons pneus avec une bonne resistance à l'usure. Ils sont sur mon vélo cargo depuis environ 100 klm et comme vous pouvez le voir ils sont comme neuf (je roule principalement sur la route) . Pas de pb de crevaison. Je recommande
