Too Much Work Involved
They do as stated on the "packaging" but (and a big one) to find the right coffee blend to produce the right crema on the coffee is a task in itself. The coffee beans first have to ground to talcum powder consistency before anything like coffee is produced by the machine. If the ground coffee is tamped too much the machine cannot supply the pressure required to produce a cup of coffee. The major problem with the capsules is removing the wet coffee grounds no easy task. In my opinion it is better to bite the bullet and order the real thing from Nespresso and enjoy a cup of coffee without the hassle.

Work well in use, a bit fiddly to clean / refill, worthwhile if you want to try different coffee blends
I bought these so I could use different coffees to the standard nespresso offer. They are a bit fiddly to fill, no design issue just getting the right quantity of coffee in and compressing enough but not too much takes time, and usually ends up with bits of ground coffee scattered around. They're also fiddly to clean as the coffee gets very compacted against the mesh. I toothbrush and / or plastic toothpick help.In use they occasionally stick a little but I've not had any real problems (DeLonghi machine). In summary worth the effort if you want to try different and better quality artisan coffees in your machine and probably still pay less than buying nespresso capsules. Not sure they would be worth the effort if you just wanted to save money though.

Ok for cutting down on waste
The coffee results are not as good as the pre-filled capsules. It is difficult to get enough coffee in to get the sames strength and intensity. I use them as an alternative to capsules, but now have stated to clean out and recycle the capsules to reduce waste. Overall an ok purchase, but do not expect the same coffee experience.

Ok, but fiddly to work out the correct content
trying to get used to how much to pack them and how tightly, not used as much as I hoped but good back up when out of pods

Great idea but terrible product
I had really high hopes for this product - not only would it save me money but there would be less waste....I was wrong. I couldn't get the strength right and as much as I tried with different espresso makes and trying different amounts in the pods nothing worked. They produced an extremely weak coffee with no finish.I ended up over filling them which caused them to crumple in my machine and so rendered them useless.Great idea but terrible product - it ended up costing me a fortune in coffee that I won't use.I advise people NOT to buy.

1) Ground the coffee to a very fine texture. And i mean as fine as possible
To those who complain about thin the coffee is, or others, i followed the following steps:1) Ground the coffee to a very fine texture. And i mean as fine as possible.2) Fill the pod with a spoon, and press Lightly. Not too tightly. Don't try to press too much coffee into it as otherwise you won't get any coffee out of the machine, and in addition you bend the pod itself (my experience)3) Ensure it is closed tightly.
