Much better than the metal flasks
The reviews of the metal flasks were all over the place. It seems that many of them are made overseas with marginal quality control. This molded plastic unit is not fancy but it is of high quality and simply does what you need it to do. It easily rides in Jeans or shorts rear pockets. It has not leaked and should last for a long time. It also seems crushproof as opposed to the metal ones.If your favorite outdoor concert venue searches your coolers for adult beverages so you have to pay exorbitant prices inside this may just be your low profile solution.

leaked at first but didn't later on. need extra caps or insert...this flask has flaws.
Good flask, but like all flasks it's gonna leak eventually. When I first got it, I filled it with water to see if it leaked. It leaked, I set it down and thought about sending it back. Picked it up the second day filled it with water again, it leaked. Thought to myself how could this be. Tried fighting the top down as tight as I could, didn't leak. The insert under the cap is responsible for leakage. Once the top of the flask threads digs into that insert it won't leak. So work it a few times to get it watertight for you add your spirits. That being said they should give 3 insert replacements with it, because over time when the insert wears out it's gonna leak again. I also have the Stanley adventure series flask and that has a rubber gasket and in no way leaks but instead rusts on the inside. So if your looking for a flask, it's okay for the price but has flaws like every flask. Cap isn't attached and will easily be lost in the woods, plus the insert is a problem and it's not slim enough for a back pocket only will fit in cargo pants pocket. Knowing that the pros would be it's plastic, cheap, TOUGH, olive color to hide it if you need to, holds a decent amount. As far as I know there isn't a perfect flask out there though so when I dog on it. It's only because it might leak and your most likely going to lose that cap. They should find a way to attach the cap to the bottle add a few inserts in to prevent future leakage. Also if the seller is going to jump in price they should consider they have flaws in there products first.

Pretty Nice Niche Item
The flask, what really needs to be said. Several things really. Let's break it down:1) Build => Nice and thick plastic. Lid fits well. Sizing fits my needs very well.2) Leaky => Not right now, but the inside base of the lid is fitted with an old school paper/plastic? insert thing (you find these a lot in medicine bottles and such). This is not an everlasting item. Keep your eyes open for something else to insert here.3) Style => Who wouldn't love an OD flask? You can fit a lot of Kool-Aid off in there. So go get you one(many) while you can. Oh yeah, these aren't metal so they go through metal detectors, think about that one while you're sippin'.

Great backpacking flask
It is exactly as described. I am going on a 21 day backpacking trip so I need a lightweight flask. I was going to order a nalgene flask but this was cheaper and slightly lighter I was afraid it would be cheap and would leak even though i read other reviews that said it doesn't. I have to say it isn't cheaply made, sure it isn't the highest end plastic but this mil-spec design is really tough it will not crack break and it will not puncture of scratch easy. The cap is simple with a foam insert to prevent leaks. I tried everything to make it leak by shaking, tossing, storing upside down, adding pressure by squeezing it and sitting on it; as long as I sealed the cap correctly I can't get it to leak!

Leaks
Terrible design! The cap leaked upon first use. I filled 3/4 for expansion for trip in mild weather and put in the zip lock bag it came in (which also leaked) leaving a mess in suitcase. I then studied the all-plastic flask and cap. There is a very thin cap that has only one thread that overlaps 1/8 inch where it tapers at start. I doubt the design is mil spec as implied. I should of tested before travel.

Better than titanium alternatives?
I’ve been using this flask for ~ 10 years now, almost exclusively for bourbon on < 5-10 day backpacking trips. It’s way cheaper (and lighter?) than titanium at 16oz capacity, and taste is not significantly affected as long as it’s kept under ~ 110° and not for longer than a few weeks or so. Buffalo trace, Noble Oak, Eagle Rare, Woodford Reserve, whatever... all taste as they should. I’ve shopped long and hard for titanium alternatives and would happily pay $200 if there was one out there, but for the capacity/weight, the pilot’s flask is just impossible to beat.I don’t know if it leaches nasty chemicals or what, but I wash it with hot soapy water, then rinse with everclear (grain ethanol, but could also use a little of whatever alcohol you’re drinking), then fill, then good to go. I probably drink too much, but one flask typically lasts 2-6 nights out backpacking and plenty to share for 1-2 nights. Short of filling a Naglene or wine bladder style flask, you just can’t find this kind of weight/capacity/seal value elsewhere.I cover mine with random stickers for personality.

1 Pint
It looked small when I got it but it measured a pint. Plastic body and cap. Does not leak. Use it as my water bottle in thin messenger bag.

use them all and am entirely satisfied. Easily fits in large pockets
Use in place of standard canteen size, and water bladder, so I can keep close to body to prevent freezing during mountain hunting. Bought 3, use them all and am entirely satisfied. Easily fits in large pockets.
