Yes it really does work! Apart from the fact that you make a fair amount of mess if you're doing a coat say. It's brilliant and relatively quick - renews all your bobbly clothes and duvet covers etc.You need a firm grip otherwise it flies out of your hands.It's much cheaper and MUCH more effective than those electric things which take ages and don't get actually seem to work properly in my hands.

This worked beautifully on the first sweater I tried it on. It's generally worked well on others, but not all so you have to try an area first. It's amazing how much it does remove, and there's probably a bit of a knack to getting the brushing right, it can be quite difficult. Overall though, I'd say it's been a very good buy at the price, and has rejuvenated several sweaters that were starting to look fairly scruffy.

The sweater stone makes this process so much quickly, easier and better results!

Disappointing. Crumbles like florist foam. Really messy. Won't be using it again.

While bobbles ARE removed, I was not happy with the performance of the stone. The treated surface is left with a layer of fuzz. Cables patterns are left less distinct after use and the fuzzy layer of raised fibres will themselves turn into bobbles in subsequent washings. Better to trim the bobbles with a good battery powered device. Those devices take time, I know, and some are better than others, but they don’t cause further problems later as this sweater stone does. Wish I could give a better review as I had great hopes of this but I really think it would make things worse. I spoke to Amazon staff who kindly agreed to refund my purchase. I appreciate them agreeing to do that and cannot fault their service.

Great product. Removes bobbles with ease giving old knitwear a new lease of life. Used it on coats, wooden and cashmere jumpers all to great effect. Took ages to arrive and company wouldn't combine postage for multiple products - would recommend you shop elsewhere.

It was okay, but didn't meet my need as expected.

I'll admit I was a little sceptical when I saw this product advertised. I take my knitting seriously and look after my 'creations' carefully - however with the best will in the world some yarns are subject to pilling. That's those little balls that form on areas of wear and look unsightly.I approached one of my older cardigans first and was surprised to find that the Sweater Stone soon had it looking like new in no time!In these recession hit times it's good to know that I can keep clothing looking like new with the minimum of effort.

Estupendo para su función: eliminar pelusas de los tejidos. La parte que no me termina de convencer es que se deshace un poco durante el uso dejando un poco de residuo 'arenoso', obviando este aspecto, estupendo en eficacia.

I was surprised at how well this works! I was also surprised at how lightweight it is. I thought it would be a little heavy considering it's a "stone", but it's actually very light. As soon as I got it I used it to fix a pair of leggings and two sweaters. It did an amazing job, the areas I fixed look good as new. You don't need to press very hard, I found it was best to use it in short light strokes. It's a little messy but that's expected. My stone doesn't look like it's worn down at all yet, although I've only used it on 3 items so far. I'll definitely be purchasing this again once it wears out!
