I am not spouting nonsense.....
I ordered this to try and repair our Jug and Basin fountain as the panel controller has ceased. This was a rechargeable unit but this replacement solar pump is direct sunshine functioning only . This I knew when placing the order. At 1.5w I wasn't overly optimistic has to how effective it would be. It was a doddle to install in place of the original pump and took around 6 minutes from opening the box to water flowing out of our jug again. Hurrah....AH, but there is a little problem. This pump has no flow control and the sun is shining brilliantly. So the water went from refilling the basin to almost missing the basin completely and it emptied the basin in under 5 minutes. I tried several methods to reduce the flow by covering and partially covering the panel Rationale being Less Sunlight = Less Current = Lower volume of water. Nope... It seems that this is a particularly effective solar panel and even covering half of it only slowed the flow down longer but it still reached spilling proportions eventually. Hmm... 1 Cold beer and a dog later and problem solved. What has the dog got to do with it you wonder. Well my dog likes nothing more than to retrieve a stone and place it on my foot, well to be accurate, gravel. There you go gravel. Placed in the outlet on top of the jug, restricted the flow perfectly. It has now run all afternoon and has not spilt any water since. I do realise that cloudy days will mean no running water but for the price I can live with that. In addition, before I put this pump into my own fountain, I tested it in a bucket of water. The various flow nozzles work well with it and in the upright position, the volume of water coming through the pump is not an issue. Our jug is at an angle of about 20 degrees. I think I may buy more of these and make some home made fountains, I have an empty Gorilla bin that may soon become a pool in one corner of our garden.

Perfect for us!
The media could not be loaded. * Edit; I would like to add that this little pump has been left in the pond all through winter. Has been frozen solid several times and to my amazement still works faultlessly!!Previous; Nearly two weeks on and this cheap little water pump is working perfectly. We have a natural pond without filters etc and we just wanted something to create movement in the water to stop it from going slimey and stagnant. It has cleared it up perfectly and no need to run wiring etc for power due to the solar panel. Now, I can see why people are getting annoyed, it only works when there is sun shining on the solar panel -please bare this in mind!! There is no built in battery pack so it is not capable of running without sun - on a cloudy day it pulses and you get squirts of water out of it. This does not bother us but if you want a permanent water fountain, you're best go looking for a non solar option or find one that has a built in battery pack if indeed they are available. How long will it last, who knows! But at the price, you can't grumble 🤷🏻♀️.

Great Idea But Not Quality
I used this for a number of months but unfortunately it wasn't powerful enough for the British weather/sunshine. The water flow was rather poor. Also, I didn't feel the quality of the materials was exceptional either.

Don’t waste your money if you live in the UK
Set the fountain up in the clean water, put the panel on the birdbath in full sun and got a spray about 3” high; not huge, but didn’t expect much else for the price. Left it running to get the plant and when I returned it was about 1” high and pulsing. I decided that it must have been malfunctioning so I picked up the panel for the spray to suddenly reach about 12”. After a bit of experimentation I came to the conclusion that this only works if the panel is in angled directly at the full sun; even moving the panel slightly reduces the height and very quickly either pulses or stops. Given the sun moves and I live in England, I have returned the product as unsuitable

Lovely little fountain.
The media could not be loaded. Delivery was on time. After reading lots of reviews on different water fountains I decided to go for this. It's has a few different tops to give different water effects and works when there is cloud too. The more sun it has the better it works but it still gives a good effect if there is little sun.

Poor Quality Control?
Sadly, as in so many of the negative reviews, mine stopped working after a morning. Full sunshine didn't revive it and after testing the solar panel for current output (it was pushing out about 9.5 volts), I came to the conclusion the pump had failed. I suspect this is a quality control issue as some pumps work and others fail. Needless to say it was packed up and sent back to Amazon. That said, when the unit did work, it was perfect for my birdbath. It worked in slightly overcast conditions though the output was more of a bubbling effect and when it was very overcast, it was a spurt, stop, spurt stop, a function of not having a battery. The nozzle heads increase the height of the water spray by concentrating the flow from the pump and mine produced a spray of roughly 30cm in slightly overcast conditions, but because of the small size of my birdbath (30cm), using any of the heads meant water was flowing out of the birdbath. So I opted to leave the heads off entirely to create the bubbling effect. The other downside of this kit is that the solar panel doesn't have any way of mounting it. It just sits on top of where you place it so was kind of awkward. If it had continued to work, I would have kept it despite its shortcomig, but sadly it stopped after a morning. I have since ordered an alternative solar pump kit very similar to this one that does come with a mounting for the panel and, touch wood, it's working beautifully.

Bin sehr, sehr zufrieden.

Schade.
