Q: How long does the noise go on for? And what sound/how loud is it?

My bells are attached to my purse which is in my backpack. As I walk the bells jingle i.e. If there is movement your bells will jingle. The sound is quite loud but it is intended to alert you if your bag is being pick pocketed. So they are very good. My elderly mother has her bells on her house keys so she can shake her handbag and locate them quickly. A fantastic product!

Q: what are the dimensions?

The bells side by side measure 1.25" and the total length is 2.25". The bells do come off if you want to put them on another fastener.

Q: If these were attached to a gate would they ring when the gate was opened & closed?

They would ring, but possibly not loud enough to hear inside your house. Also, because they are quite light, any wind blowing may also make them ring.

Q: How long is the chain? Can you take purse out of bag and use it comfortably without detaching?

Hi I only received the bells which clip on really well to my purse you do need an area on you purse to clip it on to but I never had a chain. If you fill your bag to capacity and have to delve around to find your purse the catach may detach but if you are sensible with it you will find it works really well
