Named for the fastest bird on Earth, the incredibly light and agile Peregrine 12 more than lives up to its name. With better traction and more protection, nothing gets between you and the trail ahead. Lighter, faster, and more comfortable than ever, your trail run just got exponentially more fun.

Great for trail running- excellent traction and response
First of all I have used Saucony (most specifically Peregrines) for years during my trail runs and races in Colorado and in the Alps. I LOVE Saucony brand. The traction is spot on and I have never ever slid and fell, even in mucky or snowy conditions. Yes, the uppers tend to wear thin with major use but for the breathability and the fact that they dry so quickly with any wet conditions is a big pay off for me. Also the fact that they are well below average price range for great trail shoes, I don't mind if I have to shell out more for another set. What I have gotten used to doing is buying 2-3 pairs and just rotating them on occasion to make them last longer. The rock plate protects my feet from sharp rocks, the heel cup fits snug without excessive rubbing, the laces snug the uppers without too much rub either. I buy an extra half size bigger than my normal shoe to allow for big descents that don't mash up my toes. The shoes are light and lightly padded at a 4mm drop. All that said, I haven't yet tried the 13s and am excited as I heard great improvements have been made to the next version.I have had knee surgery recently and found as I got back into running these hurt the balls of my feet a little. I blame my feet not the shoe as I haven't been on my feet as much as I used to. I ended up buying Saucony's Xodus Ultra (1 not 2) with a 6mm drop and a bit more cushion and I absolutely LOVE them. So if you are needing more cushion than the peregrines offer look to the xodus.

These sneakers are like clouds for my feet!
Holy cow, I love these! I have owned several pairs of Sauconys in my life, and these are the newest pair. The color is striking and very unique. The comfort and adaptability for all occasions (trail walking, hiking, doing errands around town) is excellent. The support on all parts of my feet is great. One very important thing to mention: these run small! Order 1/2 size up for a perfect fit.

Great for Different Terrain!
I bought this pair after my $150 Brooks came APART at the upper and lower after only 200 miles. These were highly recommended for use in a varied terrain, so I thought they would work for me as I run everything from the path along the railroad (gravel) to our farm road (dirt and grass) to road to sidewalk. I'm just running/walking for the exercise and don't do miles and miles every day, but I do get in at least 1.5 miles a day. These are very comfortable. They have a wider toe box than my Brooks did and a slightly lower drop. The tread is so much better for my paths that I run--especially the gravel. i now have run more in these than my previous shoes and there is NO coming apart anywhere. They support my foot very well and I also have Mortons Neuroma, so I appreciate them not hurting my foot.I would recommend these for sure to someone who wants a great shoe for a varied environment.

Sams review
They fit true to size. Comfortable, but a little heavier since I think it's a trail sneaker.

Excellent trail runner
I am a solid 7.5 in Saucony shoes, so I was a bit leery when I bought these because many reviews have noted they run small. So after they arrived, I tried them on and my toe nearly touched the top of the shoe. But, with a heel lock in place, I set out on a 4 mile trail run on the rugged Bell Rock loop in Sedona, AZ. Whether scrambling up hills or flying down them, the Peregrines performed well. They gripped the terrain beautifully, had plenty of air circulation to keep my feet cool and, best of all, I finished my run with happy feet—no blisters and no sore toes. Best trail running shoes yet.

Cute and comfy
I use these for my trail runs. My favorite park has a lot of concrete and one of the trails leads you through a neighborhood to connecting woods so I do a lot of mixed terrain. They are grippy on trails but aren’t too clunky or wobbly on concrete. They’re comfortable and as long as you pull the laces tight and double knot, the won’t come loose. The toe doesn’t have as much thick covering as other trail sneakers I’ve had which is nice because other brands bother my toes with the plastic or rubber tips. The colors are stunning and look like the picture.

Still can’t get the heel right on this shoe
This is my 3rd pair of this shoe. The first pair I bought several years ago was both comfortable and sturdy, yet the heel was too cushioned and the padding started to bunch and wear holes rather quickly as a result of heel rubbing from putting them on and taking them off.The second pair seemed to have fixed that problem and were just as comfortable as the first, though I was also super cautious when taking them on/off based on my experience with the first pair. Though a hole started to wear in the upper part of one of the shoes near my toes. This pair is the opposite of those other pairs. Omg they were so uncomfortable from first wear, and instead of just slightly reducing the heel padding they completely removed and replaced it with a hard heel that caused so many blisters the first few months I wore them. I think they have finally broken in a little and my feet have maybe developed some callouses because they’re better now but holy hell. Not sure I’ll be buying this shoe again.

Comfortable and great traction
These are a great fit and have nice room in the toe box. Definitely medium or narrow fit not wide which is fine for me. The bottom has very good tread for trail running. Might be a bit much for everyday.

Great fit
I need to wear a wider shoe for my orthotics and Saucony is the best fit.

No Luck w/ Saucony Shoes
I wanted a pair of trail runners / walking shoes in liru of hiking boots so I decided to try out this pair of Saucony shoes. At one point in my life, I owned a pair of Saucony cross trainers & I remember then being uber comfy, wide & soft, not to mention that they lasted for a long time.Unfortunately, I have had zero luck with this & other models that I tried out.Firstly, I find that their shoes are now really narrow in the toe bed, which was the case with this one.Secondly, it was really difficult to find sizes with a wide width & if they were available, they were uber expensive, which was also the case here.Lastly, I decided to try a mens sizing to meet my needs. I tried a size 7 mens as I wear a size 7 woemens however it was too long though the width was perfect. So I ordered a 6.5 mens, which is what I did here & received 6.5 womens. I have done this with a few models & the sane thing kept occuring. I realized that Saucony does not have a size 6.5 in mens shoes, at least on Amazon.Too bad because I do like the color options & the lugs on this model. After this experience of going back & forth with different pairs of Saucony shoes, I have given up with them & decided to stick with my zero height, minimalist shoes, which I've been wearing for over a decade.
