One Piece, Vol. 82 (Volume 82): The World Is Restless

The second half of Zou doesn't disappoint!
The zou arc concludes in typical one piece fashion, with lots of banquets and some fairy significant plot advances that will surely prove pivotal later on. This arc is realatively concise compared to that of behemoth arcs such as Dressrosa, but actually it is refreshing with good characters and a decent story!Would definitely recommend, albeit long term fans are likely to just buy them anyway irrespective of reviews...It's Zoro not Zolo viz!

exciting
There’s a lot of exciting setups in this volume for things yet to come. Some of the Four Emperors get fleshed out so we’re aware of just how big a threat they are, and all four of them now have personal connections to the Straw Hats or their allies which makes the stakes more real. There’s also more teasing of the Reverie, which is no doubt going to be a huge event that will bring back lots of characters from across the series. We see some of these familiar faces in this volume.

Mission Rescue Sanji
Volume 82 of One Piece wraps up Zou mini arc. After several longer arcs it was fun to have an arc that lasted roughly two volumes. We get to learn the history of Zou, which definitely has some foreshadowing for later events. Most of all we finally learn where Sanji is and the Straw Hats plan to rescue him. The rescue plan is Luffy, Nami, Chopper, Brook, the Minks Pedro and Carrot will retrieve Sanji from the Big Mom Pirates. It's nice have the rescue crew be the Straw Hats that weren't really in the Dressrosa arc. It feels like it has been forever since we seen Nami, Chopper and Brook in action. Although it also means we won't see the rest of the crew for a while, which is a bit of a bummer.Volume 82 is a transitional volume caught in between two large arcs. Compared to the darker volume 81, volume 82 is a more normal One Piece tone. As fun final note this volume does contain several great surprises for long time One Piece fans.
