A little tin of pigment perfection!
The media could not be loaded. Let me begin by saying that this is my first go at watercolours. I usually work in pastel or coloured pencil and I specialise in animals so this is my first go at an actual watercolour painting.I have some other sets, Windsor and Newton, Reeves and a little Daniel smith set. All of them have left me pretty uninspired to they've say on the shelf for years. As soon as I opened these I needed to have a go!Lovely packaging... Which I ripped off in a matter of minutes because I was excited. The little tin is a great size for carrying and is really well put together with two little mixing areas and room for either more pans or a travel brush. The colours are high in pigment and wet up really quickly. The bleed into each other beautifully and also mix extremely well. No chalkiness and very rich colours. The colours in the classic set are brilliant for mixing any colour you want. I'm told skin tones are difficult to achieve usually but the base layers on my painting seem to be working quite well.I am smitten and of course, I now want another set... But I need to practice more first.

The colors are nice and vibrant
The colors are nice and vibrant.Quite pigmented as well and they mix nicely together.I'm not a professional artist but I do make loads of cards, sketching and journal pages. This set covers my needs. However there is no information about the colors' lightfastness etc and they don't even have a color name. The tin is nice and light with plenty of mixing areas. I would recommend this set to anyone who just want to enjoy watercoloring for themselves or non-professional use.

Expensive and not "professional grade"
I draw and paint professionally so I've used a few watercolours over the years. I bought these as I'd seen them all over Instagram and I thought they looked like a good option for a fun pocket watercolour pan tin to take out and about on my holidays and I fancied a little treat too. I liked the look of the bright colours and the packaging is cute.Although they're described as "artist grade" and "professional grade" they're just nowhere near as good as my Windsor and Newton pans and compared to my W&N tubes they're very poor. Even the WH Smiths hobby set I've had for 15 years is better than this. The texture is too coarse and it's really hard to get a good intensity with some of the colours. The green splits into yellow and blue powder pigment. As a base colour set I find the colours a bit weird, especially the yellow which is too warm to mix with the green / blue without going muddy. The best thing about this set is the metal tin so I'll probably take the pans out and replace them. When I bought these they were £21. The Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolour Sketch Pocket Box is about £11 and twice the quality so if you're after a basic pocket pan set I'd go for the W&N.

Impressed
Very pleased with these, they arrived quickly considering they came from the US. It is a great little tin and would fit some extra colours in if needed. Other than doing the colour swatch (card included in tin) I have not painted with them yet but have been impressed with other people's reviews I have seen. I am only just getting started with watercolours and these look lovely and it is such a neat and robust tin. Very impressed so far.

Great colours, lovely tin.
Gorgeous, vibrant selection of rainbow colours. They mix surprisingly well despite not being a typical artists’ watercolour set (no pigment or lightfastness information). Great for crafters or amateur watercolourists, the tin box is great and can also fit in a portable brush or more pans. Compact and convenient, best non-professional grade watercolour paints I’ve found for crafters.

Compact set if nice paints perfect for practice .

Okay for beginners.
Very chalky. The quality can be inconsistent and is on a par with children's paint sets but they're okay for beginners. When they are offered at a reduced price they are worth buying just for the tins.

Prima Watercolor Confections - The Classics
Excellent deal - FREE shipping from USA to UK! Well worth the wait. Bought primarily for the tin but the paints are good - the pigment is as good as in Prima watercolour pencils. Highly recommended Amazon seller.
