Hard to fault at the price!
Purchased having read very good things about the SNZG15 online, especially relating to its looks and automatic movement accuracy. Having daily worn it I’m happy to report its timekeeping is great and build quality is incredible for the money. Some highlights being the beautifully finished dial and display case back. Pair it with a nice leather strap and its hard to beat for money.Note on K1 and J1 suffix. Japanese made SNZGs have the J and Malaysian are K. Some say the J is more accurate but hard to say when my K has been very good.

I wanted a good quality analogue watch with lume dial
I wanted a good quality analogue watch with lume dial, water resistant to allow sea swimming etc.but didn't want an ash-tray size thing on my wrist but also wanted a decent size dial face. After much searching I found the Seiko 5 Automatic SNZG15K1. Some fanatics on the watch forums get hung up on whether the model is made in either Korea (SNZK) or Japan (SNZJ). To my mind this is irrelevant. I've had the watch just over a week and am 100% satisfied with it. The appearance and performance of the watch is fantastic. The lume dial and hands is good, lasting well in to the night ( I glanced at it at 2:00am when I happen to wake up and could read the dial clearly half asleep). My favourite design feature is the raised edge around the dial where the hour marker batons sit and the upside down triangle at the 12 o'clock position with its nod to military field watch design. Despite the current trend for NATO watch straps on field watches such as this I actually like the strap that the watch comes on. The brushed metal buckle is a decent size and matches the brushed finish to the watch bezel. The strap material itself is robust and having worn it on one run so far doesn't noticeably retain lots of sweat. Overall an excellent watch which looks classy and performs very well.

Great value for the money.
I was looking for a field watch as I mostly have divers style watches and wanted something a little different with no rotating bezel.I chose this watch over the newer Seiko 5 models due to its slightly larger diameter case and the 22mm lug width. I wear a Garmin with a 26mm strap width and I just don't enjoy going as narrow as 20 now days.I really like this watch because of it's aesthetics and it goes head to head in looks with much more expensive time pieces. Because I am constantly rotating my watches according to mood or activity I didn't want to lash out on something super expensive just to have it sit in its box. This Seiko is perfect for what I wanted. A great looking Field watch from a well established watch making brand.I had read the reviews complaining that the watch stops running over night but I have not had that issue. It was running on delivery and I gave it 30 seconds of "Seiko swing" before putting it on. Normal days activity, took the watch off at around 10pm and it was still running fine at 8am.I can't really speak for the accuracy of the watch as I haven't had it for very long. It has a work horse Seiko movement and I couldn't really be bothered if it's accurate or not. It's a living working machine with cogs and gears and must be appreciated for what it is.Not measuring time to the nearest second anymore has actually made me a happier person anyway. The lume on the watch is fabulous and compares very well with my Seiko and Citizen dive watches which are well known for good lume.My one complaint is the strap. I really wanted to like it and give it a fair chance after reading all the negative reviews on the strap. After wearing the watch for an entire afternoon I had to admit that it was cutting slightly into my wrist. I tried to soften the edges by reverse folding for a few minutes but it didn't help at all.I have changed the strap to a cordura fabric and soft leather one. Much more comfy.I would highly recommend this watch even though the strap isn't great.Typically I don't really care what strap the watch comes with because I have "the sickness" which forces me to change straps and even the time piece itself on a regular basis. Apparently the only cure is to buy another watch.Don't tell my wife.

Very good and nice watch
Very nice military style watch. Fits very nice on my fist and I don't have large fists. Looks very nice and high quality particularly if you have in mind it's price. Easily looks like costing EUR 500. Pretty amazed with the look and quality. The strap is not as bad as some reviewers described it. Anyway, I ordered a Nato style leather strap for EUR 20. So basically spent around EUR 150 for the watch and leather strap. I am using the watch for 3 days so I cannot give opinion on how reliable is the mechanism, but it looks pretty accurate, around one or two seconds a day. Summarising: very happy with this product. Go for it if do you have any doubts. P.S. My Seiko5 Sports is not the one made in Japan, but after reading some reviews and using the watch for 3 days, I don't think it makes a difference as quality control is made by Seiko regardless where is assembled the watch.

Nice looking, good value automatic watch.
I'm very pleased with this watch. For a while I've fancied the idea of a mechanical rather than quartz watch, and I finally decided to go for this one. It was delivered from Singapore very quickly. I think it looks great. It's quite big but unless you've got very small wrists it doesn't look too big. The strap is maybe not to all tastes. When I bought the watch I was thinking that I would replace it straight away, but it's actually not too bad and I'll probably stick with it for a while. My example is more accurate than I was expecting. The only thing I found with mine is that if it's left face up on the bedside table it gains about 5 seconds overnight, but if I leave it on its side it keeps pretty much perfect time. Since I started doing this I've been using it for about 5 days without resetting it, and it's still within a second of the correct time. This is much better than the specification. Other examples may vary, of course. In summary, if you're looking for a good value automatic watch I'd definitely recommend this one.
