This little gadget is brilliant! It really does keep your fabric in place so the stitching is even. It’s a magnet, so just place it on the edge of the metal plate near the needle and that’s it. I have a very small sewing machine and it works well on that. Didn’t know something like this existed, pleased I saw it.

Although I've been dressmaking intermittently for many years, until recently I've been doing it so sporadically that I still consider myself to be at beginners' level. The one thing that I've always struggled with until buying this little gadget is maintaining straight seams when using my sewing machine. I find the seam guidelines on the sewing machine plate too small and not very clearly marked, but this magnetic seam guide is great - so far it has never moved from where I place it on my sewing machine plate, thus enabling me to sew seams in straight lines and with ease for the first time ever. One thing to note: because this is essentially a strong magnet, it should not be used with computerised sewing machines according to the product notes. This isn't a problem for me, as I have a fairly basic, though perfectly good Toyota sewing machine. Great little product.

This is so easy to use, no faff in putting it in the right place or moving it about. No screwdrivers, no mess. It's strong, so simple and has really upped my seam game. Wish I'd discovered it years ago!

I saw this by chance and thought what a good idea as I'm normally a bit hit and miss sewing in straight lines. It will be ideal if it works. According to the reviews it's a marvelous little gadget. The price is good and is very solid and strong so it will be great for me. I haven't tried it yet. I noticed a note on the label, which I hadn't seen in the description when viewing online that it is not for computerised machines, but that's ok as my machine is a basic one, so it'll be ok. Looking forward to trying it out.

Does its job perfectly and good value for money

This is a potentially useful gadget, but most modern machines have a limited number of guidelines already marked on the foot plate. I bought this as a stitching guide for when I needed to expand the guidelines, for example when quilting. Only the small footplate on my machine is of magnetic material and the guidelines are marked here; further from the needle where I need additional guidance, although it looks metallic, the machine surface is not iron or steel and so the gadget does not stick, therefore making it useless!

This inexpensive small gadget grips firmly on my machine plate and helped me guide the fabric to keep a 1.5 cm seam round curves and on straight seams for my new shirt. Easier for me with my deteriorating close vision

Permet de coudre droit !! Pour une débutante, c est génial !! Très bon rapport qualité prix.Aimant très fort, ne bouge pas pendant la couture. Par contre à enlever si on ne l utilise pas je pense car l aimant peut peut-être abimé le mécanisme…

Je suis atteinte d'une maladie. Et coudre droit m' était devenu impossible. Grâce à cette pièce, j'ai pu coudre droit.
