Best shaver ever.Like most old men I have hair where it never was before - ears, nose, shoulders and neck but strangely less on my head. This electric shaver is almost magic in its performance. It doesn't do ears and nose but is great on the rest . It is smooth on the skin with no snagging and although you do not get a completely clean shave - how many people want that anyway. The battery lasts a long time. easy to clean, and ergonomically good. The blades last (in my) case four months. The only downside Mr. Philips, is that the beard trimmer is very fiddly to fit. Get your designers to do better on future models please. 5 BIG stars from me.

I bought this quite a while ago now but i use every week. The blades have lasted me so long and i even use it to trim my face,body and to top up my hair. Would definitely buy again but I havent had to buy refills for this yet! Best shaver Ive ever had.

I've been using an electric shaver for almost 60 years and I've tried both foil and rotary shavers. This is quite different.I'll start with the negatives. Firstly, like almost all the currently available shavers, this has a sealed-in, non-replaceable lithium battery which will only last a few years before it has to be thrown away (and driven to a recycling centre). It can't be used while plugged in. Secondly, the replacement heads are expensive. These are the reasons why I've knocked off one star. Also, I hadn't taken into account that unlike other shavers the hair does not collect inside, so I have to use it over a sink and shower after using it. This does make it easier to clean, by rinsing it under a tap, but I live in a hard-water area so it will probably get limescale stains.Now to the positives. This is the best shaver I've ever used. I can get up close to my goatee beard so it needs less trimming back (I have a separate beard trimmer, so I haven't tried the attachment which came with the OneBlade). I hardly have to press at all, even on my neck, which was always a struggle with other shavers. It's generally much more pleasant to use. Finally, it gives a noticeably closer shave (my partner commented on it), so I can shave on alternate days instead of every morning.I hope it's a success so it doesn't get discontinued by the time the battery dies.EDIT I've had to remove another star. After almost two months of use the battery suddenly died, without warning, in the middle of a shave. I had been expecting a light to come on as a warning, but the instruction leaflet is incomprehensible and the online FAQs don't seem to cover this model. I put it on charge; a green light came on, and stayed on; there was no indication of a full charge either, even though I left it on charge for considerable longer than the specified 8 hours.EDIT 2 I've put it back up to 4 stars because after 6 months (using it every other day, which is all I need) the first blade is still going strong. I charge it on the first of every month just to be on the safe side.

I have used OneBlade for a number of years and am incredibly pleased with the quality of the shave it gives.I purchased this replacement as I kept breaking the plastic guards on the older style heads, luckily this is no longer an issue due to the adjustable head provided. The guard head will offer a cut length from 5mm to 1mm.The unit its self is perfect in size, it has a nice grip and design which offers great dexterity when shaving those more hard to reach areas.The head with no guard protection offers a superb cut that is almost comparable in length to clean shaving. It cuts effortlessly with no catching, knicking or pulling. There's no irritation after shaving that you would expect to have with such a low level cut.This upgrades unit comes with a handy USB style charger, moving away from the outdated shaving style plug of earlier models.
