Made an impact
As a seasoned DIY enthusiast and home improvement aficionado, I've had the pleasure of using numerous power tools over the years, but none have impressed me as much as this Makita Impact Driver. From the moment I picked up this powerhouse tool, I knew I was in for a treat. The first thing that struck me was its compact and lightweight design, making it incredibly comfortable to hold and use for extended periods without causing hand fatigue. Despite its small size, this impact driver packs a serious punch, delivering unmatched performance and power that rivals much larger and bulkier models. What truly sets the Makita apart from the competition is its exceptional build quality and reliability. Crafted with precision engineering and premium materials, this tool is built to withstand the toughest of job sites and the most demanding of tasks. Whether driving screws into hardwoods, fastening bolts into metal, or tackling any other heavy-duty application, this impact driver handles it all with ease and precision. The brushless motor technology is another standout feature of the Makita Impact Driver, offering increased efficiency, longer runtime, and extended tool life compared to traditional brushed motors. This not only translates to more work done on a single battery charge but also ensures consistent performance over the long haul, making it a wise investment for both professionals and DIYers alike.Speaking of batteries, the compatibility with Makita's renowned 18V LXT Lithium-Ion batteries is a game-changer. With fast charging times and long-lasting power, I never have to worry about running out of juice in the middle of a project. Plus, the battery fuel gauge provides real-time monitoring of remaining battery life, allowing me to plan and manage my workflow more efficiently. But perhaps the most impressive aspect of the Makita Impact Driver is its sheer versatility. With variable speed settings, adjustable torque settings, and a quick-change chuck, it adapts effortlessly to a wide range of applications and materials. Whether I'm driving screws, nuts, or lag bolts, I can always count on this tool to deliver precise and consistent results every time.In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend the Makita Impact Driver to anyone in need of a powerful, reliable, and versatile tool for their home improvement projects or professional endeavors. With its unbeatable combination of performance, durability, and convenience, it's truly a cut (or screw) above the rest and a must-have addition to any toolbox.

Fantastic impact driver
My first impact driver, and very pleasantly surprised (home DIY user). Having researched various brands, Makita seemed the option to go with, I was not disappointed. Excellent product and very powerful, with adjustable power levels.Unlike others had mentioned, mine came in a branded Makita box and when registering the product with Makita for their additional +2 year warranty (1 year is standard but registration within 30 days adds two years, totally 3 year guarantee), I note from the serial number that this was made in 2024, so not old stock.Any company that will stand over their product for 3 years, is worth considering.I have since bought a few other cordless Makita tools, all have exceeded expectations.Would recommend purchasing a Makita 5Ah battery or two, fantastic power and they can do a lot of work before needing recharged.

This is one of the Makita superstar! ☑️🧰
The media could not be loaded. This was one of my first Makita products, that eventually converted me to the Makita ecosystem 🛠 Full pros ☑️ and cons ✖️review below:Pros☑️ genuine Makita product, arrived brand-new in Makita branded box☑️ incredibly well built unit, high-quality plastics and bumper rubber protection around☑️ brushless motor and variable stage trigger is a joy to use even though I do find myself using the lowest setting the majority of the time☑️ changeable speeds and torque settings are another must, makes the tool incredibly versatile☑️ incredibly sturdy and powerful productCon✖️ only one fault, the button press on the unit speed goes from the lower setting to the highest setting, which is a little frustrating especially when in most cases you just want to move up and down by one speed without cycling through every other setting♾ in conclusion, a really really excellent product that I thoroughly recommend and enjoy using on a weekly basis!

Impressive performance
I originally ordered the alternative DTD152Z, but this enhanced version (DTD154Z) incorporates adjustable speed & torque settings - which makes the tool much more 'user friendly' and able to deal with smaller screw sizes (on the 'low setting'). Higher settings enable this impact driver to deal with much larger screw fixings. Its power output is very impressive indeed, compared to a previous cordless drill I used for electric screw-driving. Also the '154' model has a slightly more powerful brushless motor, so is not only quieter in operation, but is also physically smaller, enabling you to work in even tighter spaces. Highly recommended.
