Abus 70IB/45 Aquasafe Padlock Long Shackle 63mm 35835

Needed a long padlock for our keter shed. This appeared to be the right size. Arrived and was perfect for our needs. Not sure how it'll weather but so far so good.Smooth lock, substantial keys - not flimsy like you get with cheaper locks. Would recommend if you need a long shed lock.

We were looking for a padlock for our shed, one that would bear any kind of weather really as we live in a very rainy/snowy area. So far it's performing very well. The material is strong and since the key hole is covered, there's no risk of the area getting rusty. I'd recommend it, worth the money.

** This review is not sponsored, nor did I receive the product free or at a discount **This is a really strong, well made padlock that includes a plastic keyhole cover to help prevent rusting. I bought this to replace one that had rusted and had to be removed using a bolt cutter. I bought it as I had seen it advertised alongside the Keter Store It Out, which was it's intended use. However, it won't fit through the Keter bolt, as the padlock shackle is too big. This may be because my Keter is the Store It Out Ultra model which, I think, is the largest, but I'm not sure. In any case, I've now swapped it with the padlock from another shed that I have that does fit the Keter, so it hasn't been wasted. Still slightly disappointed, though.

Brilliant just what I needed to replace a lock that ceased to work and as the rubber out cover cap protects the key insert from the elements it makes me feel safer too . Had I not found that someone had been in my yard and unbolted the gate leaving it open but also my cellar entrance has a lock with spikes railing surround , nothing happened but as I have had my wheelie bin stolen out of my yard in broad daylight this padlock ensures that intruders will find it not worth their time and is a deterrent as your life is the most precious thing in the house, I don’t have much worth stealing but intruders don’t know that . Plus my neighbour can wash & dry a mat/carpet with it out of view of opportunists who took minutes to steal one they’d cleaned in broad day light so it’s good to keep things out of sight and much harder to steal . Good price , totally would buy from them again

I bought this 2 years ago for my outdoor Keter storage and it's fantastic! The lock now looks like the day I bought it. No rust, key works great and locks/unlocks with no issues. I'm just ordering another one for my new shed.

Over the years I tried Master Lock and Yale padlocks both didn't stand up to the weather after a winter in Scotland. This ABUS lock did. The other locks could be returned to working condition with a good spray of GT85 but who needs the hassle. The ABUS lock just keeps working. I have a few of them now on different outbuildings (sheds and lockups)just the key in the lock, turn and it opens......

Bought this back in May 2017 and its been outside since then securing ladders to a wall.It's probably fair to say that in that time it's encountered pretty much all kinds of weather without any external or internal degradation.In late 2020, I gave it a drop or two of oil, just as a bit of maintenance and added protection (no pressing need to add oil - it still worked fine).Can't comment on the strength of the lock but is definitely weatherproof.For my needs it's done (and doing) a perfect job.

It's definitely weatherproof. Not a sign of any frailty after an Irish winter. It also7works reliably with firm open/close spring actions and what feels like decent tolerances.Unfortunately lost my keys so had to resort to sawing down the shackle. Thought I'd be there a good half hour but took me less than 5 minutes and I was working at an awkward angle. Whatever material is used, might as well be a hot knife through butter. The opposite of sturdy.

Stabiles Vorhängeschloss. Toll finde ich, dass es eine Kappe hat, mit der man das Schloss wetterfest machen kann. So kann kein Wasser in den Schließzylinder eindringen.Ich würde es wieder kaufen
