Works very well
Allows easy headphone attachment for relatively quiet practice session. Not had it long, but build quality feels good and sound is fine. Effects appear to be fairly subtle.

A great bit of kit for silent practice with only a couple of minor niggles. 4.5 out of 5!
I bought the Donner in order to be able to practise anywhere at home (I don’t have a dedicated practice room) rather than with my band, which is clearly not possible at the moment. Having looked at other reviews the Donner seemed a good way to go. It’s very light weight plastic and though it doesn’t look like it would take much to damage you’d probably have to treat it quite harshly to damage it. The tone was surprisingly good, both at the cleaner end (though it didn’t quite clean up enough for me – I play a wide range of styles from country to heavy blues). Plugging my backing tracks on my phone into the aux I couldn’t detect a loss of quality and it was easy to balance the levels with my go-to PRS. I was pleasantly surprised that all the guitar pickup and coil variations were reproduced well with a nice touch of reverb. However, there was a volume and overall quality drop with the tone set towards the bass end. There is a huge amount of gain available which, to my taste, went a bit OTT too quickly. So far I have tended to use it with just a touch of gain. The main issue for me was that in whatever setting both the A string, and more so the low E had an unpleasant tizziness/distortion to them. But the point is not to think of it as a pro piece of kit: what you’re getting for very little money is a pretty darn good system to practice alongside backing tracks, and really usable silent practice, rather than absolute quality. I can’t in all honesty say the Donner’s a 5 star, but I’d certainly give it a 4.5!

Delivers well on the reasons to buy it
I Found myself reading loads of reviews on all similar products, at all prices. Ordered this with a view that its only a few pounds and i get to see if this "insulated" high volume practice and play along to songs really works.. I am a one year beginner. Result, it was amazing to be practicing "One nation army" blasting out while my wife was completely able to watch the TV un interrupted. The Donner packaging and product ethos was very good. in addition to the amp you get the phono cable to connect an aux MP3 player, USB charging cable and and A head phone splitter. The amp works way better than expected. You need to spend a little time getting used to small increments experimenting with the tone dials. All round exceeded expectations. As many have said you do need some over the ear headphones that are reasonable quality. Worth it for a great practice experience any time at volume. Very good purchase.

Ok for the price
Used to practice little licks etc. Becomes more of a stretch for a complete song, but still represents good value.

Great little device
This device is brilliant for practicing quietly with headphones, the battery life is amazing I have been using for around 6 hours and it still has full battery!

Fantastic value and practicallity
Would have been a full 5 star but the overall volume is a little quiet low on the settings for clean sound. With overdrive turned up it has a nice tone and volume is sufficient. Otherwise perfect for practice without bugging the rest of the family/neighbours. Good value and happy with my purchase.

Pleasantly surprised - much better than expected!
Bought (at my request) last March as part of my birthday present. For reasons best known to me only just got it up and running last week! Very easy to use (it was unexpectedly already charged) and goes from clean to overdrive. No, the sound isnt as good as my proper amp, but I expected this. Nevertheless, its more than acceptable and I'm really enjoying being able to plug in and play in overdrive, without a) the hassle of getting my proper amp out and b) without disturbing everyone - especially late at night. Also love that its rechargeable. For £13 its an absolute no brainer.

Sound quality is really poor
This is easy to use, but is not worth half the money. The sound is horrible (I have a great guitar and a great headset) and the headphone jack is really a struggle to get in.Don't bother with this, you're better off without anything than this.
