Lovely beehive
I love this solitary bee house. It looks just like a real beehive in miniature! Have put it in a sunny spot ready for visitors 🐝

Red Mason bees like it.
Solitary bees had filled up every possible hole they could find on the south and west side of our house, including the overflow outlet from the water softener. As they had taken homes in all shapes and sizes, we put this and one filled with hollow bamboo canes up on the south side of the house. This one has proved the most popular. It is now 50% occupied. (against 10% on the Habau bamboo house) It is small, neat and well made but do make sure that the holes are free from any flecks of pulled wood just inside the drill hole. The small row on the top has not yet been taken, but on our house, gaps about this size were taken up in early May, so we may have got this up too late for the bees that like tiny holes. If all goes well I have no problem add in a few more of these in next year.

Brilliant value
Great looking and cheaper than others with the added benefit of a zinc roof. I wouldn't rely on the hook on the back which is only secured with small pins, much better to drill holes aligned with each other front and back and make a secure fixing with a long screw. As other reviewers have mentioned some of the drilled holes in the front need a little re-drilling as they aren't clean holes but that's no big deal and doesn't detract from the value

Very cute
Very cute item, but holes too small for anyone to live in it bee wise anyway. Lots of spiders and insects in it so at least someone is using it.

Nice size, well constructed
Nicely made, sound construction and nice smooth edged. the roof is well fitted and it is easy to put up. Don't know yet how the bees will find it as it is wintery still so no bees out and about but very nicely made and good value for money.

Really cute
Really cute. Holes are a bit small but the bees manage to get in some of the holes.

Great little Bee Hotel
Great bee Hotel, seems well made and I liked the colour. Slightly smaller than I thought it would be, but probably my fault for not looking at the dimensions! Haven't used it myself as it was a birthday gift, but it looked easy to hang in the garden. Would buy again.

I thought it was a bargain, but I was wrong!
I knew this bee house needed some serious work to make it usable, but it would have been easier to just start with a plain block of wood. The tin roof is flimsy and was dinged/bent during transite. Mine arrived with a big green paint run near the top front and the holes drilled in irregular (not evenly spaced) fashion. The holes themselves are only 1.25 inches deep.First I drilled the holes all the way thru using a 3/8" drill bit (hitting every possible internal nail), then I inserted 5/16" x 6" cardboard tubes in each hole so that I could harvest the bees later. Of course they stuck 2" out the back (bee house is only 4" thick), so I had to add another 2.25" of wood onto the back. There is a sawtooth picture hanger on the back (used to hang pictures inside) which is not sturdy enough to use outside in the wind.I think that I have made this thing into a working bee house, but I recommend you save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

Jolie maisonnette
J'ai été surpris par la petite taille, mais la qualité est présente et si les abeilles sont contentes aucun problème. Je pourrai la mettre direct dans le cerisier. La protection zinc du toit est une bonne idée.
