I'm so glad I ordered THIS shower stool! Originally, I was looking at round shower stools but after seeing a common issue in the reviews with the legs buckling, I decided to go for this one. The stool came ready to use with no assembly required. I'm 5'10" and about 100Kg - I can lean to the side and move around on the stool and it still feels like I'm sat on a solid, sturdy surface with no risk of slipping or sliding off the seat. The seat itself is comfortable, with a slight texture to it and it has small holes to ensure that water drains easily. I really like the handles as it makes sitting and standing much easier when the shower floor is wet and are especially useful when weight bearing on one leg only. The rubber feet/ferules mean that the stool doesn't slip on the shower tray but is still easily manoeuvrable when not in use so I can use the stool at the sink as well. The legs can be extended so that the seat is higher at more of a 'perch' level, but even with my long legs, the lowest height is comfortable for sitting.I have been used to wall-fixed fold down shower chairs in accessible flats and always found that they felt wobbly and uncomfortable, while this stool has made me realise that I can shower in comfort while also sitting down.I was able to claim the VAT back very easily and quickly using the form mentioned in the product description.I can only think of 3 negatives that some people may experience with this stool: the stool doesn't fold or disassemble so it isn't very portable for travelling. If the person is unable to sit up unaided or has problems with core strength, this stool has no back to it for support. The lowest height is around 50cm from floor to seat, so if someone has shorter legs, it may not be as comfortable or easy to get onto the stool.

I bought this shower stool to replace an old one supplied a few years ago by the NHS. The older one is a chair rather than a stool.I have to say that this stool looks rather better than the chair, especially since it is white. If I have to have such furniture in my bathroom, then something more attractive is my preference. However, the chair's nicer appearance, while a bonus, was not my first consideration. I was more concerned about the type of arm on the stool and whether the stool was sturdy.My first impressions are that the stool is sturdy. It is also very light. The arms of the stool are more vertical than my old chair. When I pressed down on the arms to get off the old chair, the weight gradually pushed the arms out until they finally broke. So, it looks as if these more vertical arms may be more sturdy. Only time will tell, however. As I said, these are only my first impressions.So far, I am pleased with this purchase.I also prefer this stool to my old chair, because it allows more manoeuvrability. Specifically, I can get at my back more easily as there is no chair-back to get in the way. I have used the stool at full height (I am tall), but even so, I will probably lower the stool by a couple of notches.

I wish I did not need one of these but needs must, when the devil vomits into your slippers.Very sturdy and it came fully assembled. No annoying loosening screws as it is all welded and not going anywhere.Absolutely perfect. I am 110kg and it is solid and feels completly safe for take off and landing.Remember to use both hands whilst alighting, to keep the force evenly spread and prevent losing your balance.Small holes in the seat to allow water to flow through and stoppers to prevent the water getting into some of the holes that are open when the height is adjusted.It doubles as a help for when I stand up after sitting on the toilet also.I have had no issues with either the stool or my naked behind slipping or sliding around during showering and take this with me if I travel. It is very light weight and easily movable. Proper rubber feet on each foot make it extra stable.Highly recommended. Buy with confidence.

Good sturdy stool, very stable, but, NOT COLLAPSIBLE as shown in the sellers pictures. My photos show it comes in one piece, think white seat lifts off for cleaning but not tried taking off yet. We'll probably keep it as needed now, but if planning to pack away when not needed just be aware it doesn't fold up.

I bought one of these last year to use in a basic shower cubicle and although it meant the space in the shower was fairly restricted, the stool itself was a godsend as my mobility gradually decreased and I needed to sit down for longer.The old bathroom has now been transformed into a customised wet room and I purchased two more of these stools to use in it. One is kept at its lowest height, perfect for drying feet and toes, and the other is kept at its highest height, perfect for me to sit/perch on while cleaning my face in the "boudoir" section of the wet room (aka the old shower alcove).The fact that I've now purchased three of these stools is probably recommendation enough but I will give a bit of elaboration .......As other reviews have said, the stools are very light and easy to move. They're also comfortable to sit on and easy to push up from to a standing position. My problems are leg-related and my upper body strength has probably increased to compensate but I do find the stools easy to get up from, no matter which height stool I'm using. They also last well. After a year of use my first stool showed no sign of rusting but the white seat was slightly discoloured, which was my excuse for buying new ones for the new wet room. If I'd had to, I'd have been perfectly happy to continue using the old one.Whether needed for a shower, bathroom or wet room, these stools come very highly recommended by this reviewer.

Purchased because I have back pain and arthritis in my knees. I can stand but by sitting down for a little while in the shower Im not rushing to get out. I sit under the shower and enjoy it the stool is so stable and secure, I love it. The only one problem I have with it, is make sure you don't leave soap on your bum because that them make it feel a little unsteady & slippery when sat down. Other than that its spot on.

Eigentlich ist dieser Stuhl keinen Stern wert. Er kam nämlich niemals an! Da hat sich mal wieder bewiesen, dass es manchmal besser ist, in den Läden zu gehen und ein bisschen mehr Geld zu Zahlen. Dann hat man aber wenigstens das gewünschte Produkt sicher.
