Love it!
This is a great flashlight. The two settings of brightness along with an aluminum housing works great together.

Top Quality & Value!
I've always bought inexpensive, but functional LED flashlights. You know, the type that take 3 AAA batteries, allow you to adjust for a wide or narrow beam that are amazingly bright for a very short period but drop off quickly. The ones that project an odd shaped, square or rectangular, beam with dark vertical lines due to the design of the LED they use. I've wanted to try a better light but haven't been able to make myself spend the money, that is until I saw this 300 lumen model as one of the Deal's Of The Day. But since there was only an hour or so before the sale ended I pulled the trigger without doing my usual research first. But I'm very glad I did, even though I found out afterwards the company had just recently "upgraded?" this model from 300 lumens to 600 lumens. The reason I'm not disappointed is because I discovered a high quality well focused 300 lumen flashlight is very bright and a pleasure to use. And I don't miss the ability to adjust the beam because this light provides a "pure" beam without any shape issues and without any dark areas and provides excellent visibility both near and far. The other reason I''m not disappointed is of course because I get more time per battery at 300 lumens than at 600 lumens. I've found the benefits of a light of this quality are first, the quality of the beam but second, the quality of the materials and the technology used throughout. The materials and technology means it can successfully survive drops and rough treatment and should last many many years. I mean it doesn't use a traditional filament that can fail/break from rough use, it uses springs on both ends of the battery to protect the battery from damage due to shock, the body is tought and solidly built, the lense is essentially unbreakable, etc. It's odd that I've always been the type who'd rather buy quality than repeatedly buy and replace inexpensive products, except when it came to flashlights. But, once again, I've proven to myself the "buy quality" philosophy applies, even with flashlights. Again, the new versions of this model are 600 lumen but, having now experienced a good 300 lumen light, I prefer the extended battery life of this light over any benefits a 600 lumen light provide. Lastly, i know this light is available without the dual power settings but I find the lower setting is often sufficient for the task at hand and appreciate the increased battery life it provides. This is another product that shows the best products are made in the USA.

That's great if you use a flashlight to search your basement ...
I've been buying and using Surefire flashlights professionally for 22 years, including the 21 years I've been in Law Enforcement. I'm also a weapons and low-light tactics instructor for my department. I own at least 15 flashlights of various sizes, brightness and manufacture, including several from Surefire, Streamlight, Nebo, and several brands from China. I've used all of them extensively, I don't own dust collectors. While I've only been actively using this flashlight for about a week now I can say without pause that it's typically Surefire. Extremely well made and robust. The tail-cap only switching keeps operation simple. To change between brightness settings (15 lumen to a mind numbing 340 lumen) you just click the tail-cap.I've used digital flashlights with a bezel switch system. They're convenient, set it to the setting you want and use it. No clicking through the tail-cap. That's great if you use a flashlight to search your basement for where you stored your Christmas lights. But, if you use our flashlight to search someone else's basement for a violent felon, changing your hand position on your equipment to adjust brightness levels is distracting. Having the ability to go from a low 15 lumen (no over-bloom to screw up you adjusted visual acuity) to a searing 340 lumen (to definitely screw up the visual acuity of the person you've just directed the light at) is convenient and intuitive using the tail-cap switch only.I have to say that I think 340 lumen is overkill or interior searches. At that brightness level you will screw up your ability to adjust to the light level in your environment. The over-bloom from reflective surfaces (white walls, ceilings, anything at all) will be essentially like aiming a 65 lumen flashlight directly at you. So, stick with the low light setting until you need to blind somebody.Where the 340 lumens really comes in handy is outdoors. It has amazing throw and can really light up a dark field, the undersides of multiple parked cars, dark alleys, you name it. That was the draw back to the old venerable Surefire 6P at 65 lumens. Perfect for interior work but lacking utility in large areas. The new 6PX Pro is an excellent combo. Highly recommended, particularly at this price.

Fantastic
Works great, durable, low output still makes everything near you visible in a big radius, and the high output is crazy bright.
