Good, but not great...
OK, this gate was bought to keep my toddler(14 months) out of my study due to working from home. The doorway is 67cm across, hence why I chose this slim fit version.Assembly and fitting are both dead easy, not many parts at all, plus it's essentially self explanatory. Its sturdy enough but won't be when he's 3+ in my opinion. Is it worth £33? No its not. I think its so expensive because, A) you can easily open it with one hand, and B) its a slim fitting gate.It also feels like it would move, if you applied not that much force(yes, its fit correctly before you think it isn't).So, its good, but it's not great.

Works effectively
Good for the price. Struggled to find a gate that was small enough to fit in our mobile home but was lucky to stumble onto this. For some reason I just couldn't figure out the instructions very well but got there in the end. Can be a bit wobbly when gate is open but perfect otherwise

to offer to exchange so that I was fully happy I chose not to take up the offer as ...
different maker brand sent but is identical -only problem was wrong size alternative was sent ( one size too small from what was actually ordered ) SELLER did contact me personally a few days later without me actually calling them , to offer to exchange so that I was fully happy I chose not to take up the offer as I elected to keep this gate and use in a doorway instead of the stairway that I had intended to use it for . May order another one at a later date . Gate is good quality and easy to use and I do have another one I have used for 10years without problem to keep dogs in control within the house . WOULD RECOMMEND

Fits narrow doorway but hard to install and less secure than other brands
Not as easy to install as our other baby gates, but this was the only brand that seemed to fit our very narrow living room doorway. Also doesn’t feel as sturdy, my husband has accidentally tripped and pulled it over twice.Does work and we use it for our dog as well as soon for our baby. But I would recommend other brands if you don’t need it for a narrow doorway.

Sturdy and strong enough for the mightiest baby or dog.
79.5cm to 87cm was the size I ordered for an 84.5cm doorway. We used to have this sort of gate years ago when our daughter was little and we had Great Danes. They worked but were a little unstable when left open. Things have moved on, this new one weighs less but it far more secure. I bought this one as a try out and have now ordered another 3. One each for the top and bottom of the stairs and one for my studio. No, we haven't a new baby on the way but an 8 week Cavachon puppy arriving home in two weeks. The spaces between the uprights is 5cm, narrower than a lot of them so we are hoping it will be narrow enough. If not I shall weave some wool between the uprights until he has grown a little. For babies and or puppies, I thoroughly recommend this. As others have said the instructions could do with tweaking but now we know how, the next ones will be a doddle.

Annoying to close but sturdy and does the job!
Bought this to fit a smaller gap by my kitchen as I couldn’t find a reasonable one to fit. Does the job well enough. It doesn’t close shut it’s self like many others and is a bit annoying to close all the time as you have to lift it up and even it up to close which is a bit difficult with an 11month old!! But overall it’s sturdy and does the job!

Good value
My partner found it difficult to put up and sometimes it falls down (I think that might be an issue with our stairs/usage though rather than the product itself) but I'm pleased with it and it's worth the price

Didn't fit
This was bought to replace exactly the same item which had finally come off the wall. However because the bottom fixings could not be altered it would not fit between the wall and banister post so had to be returned. I have now purchased a roller blind type which fits perfectly and looks much smarter.
