Scottex Original – Toilet Paper, 16 Rolls

Anyone thinking of purchasing these bear in mind they are half the size of Andrex. Quality is really nice very similar to British Andrex but I was expecting more on the roll which is why I’ve given 3 stars probably wouldn’t buy again as not good value for money I’d stick to the 45 Andrex rolls in future probably works out the same as 96 of these roll. I’ve taken a photo for comparison

It came as one big pack, the 96 rolls which made up from 6 x 16 rolls pack. When I first brought it out from the box, I immediately felt a little disappointed as these rolls seems a lot smaller and thinner even though its stating 16 rolls in a pack, but the thickness just doesn't feel right at all. Therefore, I decided to have a good comparison to those I currently have at home. Here are 3 different Andrex pack (see the pictures) the middle one which marked with 'S' is the roll from the 96 rolls pack. These are all 2 ply, the lilac Andrex is 170 sheets/roll, the peach colour Andrex is 200 sheets/roll, but the scottex (Andrex) doesn't state the number sheet. I then took one roll out from each pack and put them together, as picture showing, the scottex is much shorter and the roll size is smaller & thinner, if the lilac colour pack of Andrex is 170 sheets per roll as it stating, the scottex must be way less than that!! the overall size is shorter and smaller (thinner) roll than those normal Andrex which bought from local supermarket. I like to buy in bulk, so that don't have to keeps on buying every other week! It may seems a bargain for 96 rolls pack when I first saw it and bought it immediately, however realised the roll size is much smaller and shorter in length, douted a bargain. check out the pictures and judge it from there, hope this being helpful towards buying consideration.

We bought these because they looked as if they were very good value. When they arrived, you realised the toilet rolls were smaller and had fewer sheets than normal supermarket bought toilet paper. They are poor quality and quite disappointing and meant there was no real saving because you were getting far less paper for your money. Will not be buying these again and feel short-changed.

Clearly a lot smaller than standard toilet rolls.Did I miss this on the description?

Yeah so these are pretty poor.One roll weighs 63g, Morrisons stanfdard toilet tissue roll weighs 90g to give you an idea of what you are getting.These work out at 25p per roll with subscribe and save. morrisons are 29p per roll at standard price,70% the paper for 86% the price.I usually buy the Andrex classic clean via Amazon and will go back to that after we've used this up which I suspect won't take very long due to the quality.Disappointed.

I didn't think to check reviews of something so simple as toilet roll but I wish I had, the order comes in 6 packs of 16, and each pack is half the size of what a normal pack would be, for the same price I paid for these I could have gotten 6 packs of Nicky Elite instead which are the proper size, thicker and stronger than these are.
