Compact and Efficient - A Solid USB to VGA Adapter
I purchased this USB to VGA adapter and have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. The adapter is a nifty little device that does exactly what it promises - it bridges your USB-enabled device with a VGA monitor or projector seamlessly.First off, the build quality is commendable. The adapter feels sturdy and well put together, which is reassuring because nobody wants to deal with loose connections or a flimsy build when it comes to display adapters. The VGA connection is snug, ensuring that there are no wobbly moments or loose connections that could interrupt your viewing experience. In terms of functionality, the adapter is a star performer. It offers a plug-and-play experience that doesn’t require any additional software or drivers, which is a huge plus for those who want a hassle-free setup. The video quality transmitted through the adapter is crisp and clear, with no noticeable lag or distortion. Whether you're extending your desktop to a second monitor or projecting presentations, this adapter handles it with ease. The wire length is indeed a bit on the shorter side, but this is clearly indicated in the product images, so there are no surprises there. In fact, the compact nature could be a plus for those who prefer a cleaner setup without excess cabling. However, if you do need more length, it’s nothing that an USB to USB extension cable can't fix.Overall, I have no complaints about this USB to VGA adapter. It's a reliable piece of equipment that I would recommend to anyone in need of a straightforward solution for connecting their devices to a VGA-compatible display. It’s a good buy, especially if you’re looking for efficiency without any bells and whistles.

Well impressed with this for the price!
Really super bit of kit. After purchasing a new graphics card which only had DP and DVI outputs i bought one of these to see if there was any life left in my old VGA monitor. What a surprise to see how good the monitor looked, a new lease of life. As a passive device i was expecting some ghosting on black to white transitions but everything looks crystal clear. Money well spent and i can reccomend this without hesitation. Some reviewers have said theirs were marked and scratched and initially mine looked to be in the same condition but this is actually just a protective film and once peeled off the unit was a nice shiny gloss black finish without a scratch or mark on it.Build quality is good, came with a warranty card and properly packaged.

Works as expected, with a caveat.
I purchased 2 of these to use with a VGA KVM switch and 2 PCs, neither of which have a VGA output. One PC (a Plex server) has a nVidia card (2 DisplayPort outputs, set at 1280x1024) and the other PC (my Main PC) has an ASUS R9 380X (2 DVI, 1 DisplayPort and 1 HDMI output, set at 1920x1200) in it. My monitor is a 26" iiyama E2607WS-B1 (with VGA, DVI and HDMI inputs).Regardless which port of the KVM I use, or which adapter I use, I can't get either adapter to work correctly with my R9. Both work fine with the nVidia card on either of the KVM ports, so I know that the problem is with either the GFX card or the VGA input ability of the monitor, rather than the adapter.Switching to the PC that has the R9 in it, my monitor repeatedly tries to auto adjust the display, before blanking the screen and then cycling back to auto adjust again. The nVidia card works fine. So, I'm using the KVM to switch keyboard/mouse control between the PCs and using the monitor controls to switch between VGA input for the Plex Server and DVI input for my Main PC.Since the problem appears to be with my existing hardware, rather than the adapter, I'm not going to penalise the review rating.

Good product- would buy again.
I bought this product a while ago as my graphics card didn't support VGA and I wanted an extra monitor. It was an excellent decision and the product works just as described. It arrived in a sealed bag on its own. There was no need to install drivers or anything you just plug the VGA cable into one end and the other end into the display port 'hole' in your computer and it works out of the box.Be careful where you plug the display port end into as some graphics cards have a certain order you need to plug cables in. Failure to do so will result in the monitor not showing anything. If in doubt - try all the holes.Overall, worth the money if you have an old monitor which only supports VGA and you don't want to buy a new one.

Good product
First the good; it works, it does support a resolution of 1920x1200 as stated in another review. So if you have the need for such an adapter, this is a good choice.Unfortunately it does not do the job I bought it for; this is not the fault of the adapter but rather of the rest of my system. I wanted to produce a 1920x1200 image from a HP 800G1 tower, which according to HP documentation will not produce that resolution from the VGA port; since this computer does not have a DVI port, you have to use the DisplayPort outputs. However I have discovered that my NEC monitor will only display 1680x1050 using this arrangement, whereas another, older Samsung monitor will display 1920x1200 (and indeed does so directly from the PC VGA output, contrary to the HP specs).I intend to continue to experiment, and will update this review if I get any new results.

Not the best adapter
I got it since I had monitor that used only VGA and I had only Display Port and HDMI on my graphics card. It decreased my resolution by quite a bit. The colour and brightness displayed wasn't great. I't lasted for a 3/4 months before it started flickering and loosing signal(it wasnt cable connection falut because I often checked). The best thing you can do is buy a whole cable with differend ends or new monitor.
