A tough machine
Researched this product against the Airdyne AD6 and concluded that this bike s simply a more robust unit. We have an international rugby player and an academy player in my family using it regularly, so it has to be well built. So far so good on short, fast Tabata's. I will post another review about performance in a month or so after preseason gives it a hammering.Great response from the seller G Athletics to my request for a quick delivery too as well as email update when the unit shipped.

Saved by the pain bell
From a biking perspective: 2 starsI have paid a lot less for bikes and got a lot more.Apparently these things were originally popular with US senior citizens. This is still clear in the seat.It is designed to sit on, not ride. The riding experience is readily replicated by allowing someone to knee you in the glutes repetitively. This gets pretty old after around 15 minutes. I will change the seat out for a saddle in the near future. The left pedal died after 2 days. Bearings, or more likely, bushings self destructed. I am unsurprised. They’re cheap and nasty. From an engineering perspective: 2 starsI’m happy to see they’re still hand welding in Taiwan, I now know where all the trainees learn to weld. The numbers on my watch are bigger than the numbers on the readout. This thing looks left over from the 80s. Rubbish.Everything looks cheap. And heavy. Should last though. From a rehab perspective: 3 stars. Ability to isolate upper or lower body useful although seat affects desire to use long and slow. From a pain perspective: 5 starsAll gripes aside, this is what I bought it for. And it does not disappoint on this front.I have never come across another machine that will break me so quickly.I had to reassess my concept of HIIT timings, I need more down time.My first morning session saw me come good by nightfall.Shame about the shortcomings, but if you want this for doing an absolute number on your CNS, go get one.

Makes it very easy to work very hard.
We use it in our PT studio. Both trainers and clients love to hate it. The bike is easy to assemble, robust and does exactly what is expected. For us the primary function is to use it for HiiT bursts. It accomplishes this very well. Whether you are a health enthusiast or a fitness pro you will not be disappointed. It is a simple tool doing a simple job well. Based on 3 weeks of regular use.
