Cannot fault it.
Having read some of the reviews commenting on set up problems I was a tad apprehensive. Looked like a great bit of gear apart from that so I bit the bullet and ordered it. Took me about 5 minutes to connect it and be up and running. Really easy, just following the instructions in the quick set up guide. I'm using it, via the ethernet connection, to my desktop PC in my home office in the garage. Which is detached from the house and the signal has to go through the house wall (cavity block and brick) and the garage wall (brick and drylined and insulated) with about a fifteen foot gap between the house and garage.Works perfectly, and gives me a much better connection than the BT 610 Wi-Fi extender which I had before and had started to give me problems.I cannot fault it so far, and am more than happy with the performance. As an added bonus it is a very small and neat unit, even with the external antennae, and I can use both sockets in the double wall outlet no problem.I'm just adding to this review as it's almost six months on from purchase, and I'm pleased to report that everything is still working wonderfully. No problems at all and it's been on constantly in that time. Never had to reset or adjust settings. I can thoroughly recommend this item. For all those, like myself. Who pore over reviews and specs prior to making what I hope will be an informed purchase. This is another update as of November 2021, so over three years after purchase, and it's still working beautifully. I am now on BT's FTTP with their latest Smart Hub2 and it integrated with it perfectly. In my opinion anything electronic at this price point that is still giving perfect service after the best part of four years pretty much continuous service deserves top marks.

Wifi extender, working ok
Needed a wifi extender so that I could get a signal in my new garden cabin. Did a bit of research and this seemed ideal. Came quite fast after ordering and was well packaged. The set up instructions give two options, using the wifi direct option, (pressing the button on the device and router and they pair automatically) or via a manual set up using their website. The website did not work and I could not set up the extender using this method, however the wifi direct option did work and this extender does give a signal in my garden cabin. It was relatively easy to set up and seems to work ok so far, giving two extra networks, one for 2.4G and one for 5G, so will even match the device you are using. The extended network connection works ok, but is not as fast as my normal home indoor network. The cabin is about 10m (30ft) from the house and about 18-20m (50-60ft) from the router.Loses one star cos of the non working manual setup option, and slightly slower speed, otherwise it would have been 5 star.

Good Wifi Range Extender
This is a good product that does what it says. It operates on the standard two frequencies that pretty much all routers use as standard these days and there is an option to have separate networks for these two different frequencies. There are several methods to set up the product. Being slightly more tech savvy I used the most complex one which involved logging in via IP addresses and setting it up that way, but there is also the option to use WPS to set up so as to avoid this. The instructions were very good and easy to follow so if there are any problems with the setup these can be solved quickly and easily. The only downside is that the unit does feature four LED light on it. These lights are constantly illuminated, but don't flash. Even so it is best to put some thought into the location of the device as it may disturb some people. I have ended up with it in my bedroom and initially the lights did keep me awake at night but I have since solved this by placing an object in front which blocks the lights. However be careful what you use as the extender needs r air flow to keep it cool. If you cover it up too much then it can overheat and stop working as I found out on one occasion. There is a slight loss of network speed when connected to one of the extension networks. This would probably not be noticed by most people, but as I live in an area where the speed is only 2-3 mb/s it can be noticeable at times.Otherwise this is a good product that does what it says it will and I recommend it.

Improves Signal but Has Limitations
The NETGEAR WiFi Booster Range Extender does improve coverage and extends my WiFi signal, but it’s not without its issues. Setup was straightforward, and it does a decent job of boosting the signal in hard-to-reach areas. However, I’ve noticed occasional drops in connection and slower speeds than expected. It works for basic needs, but if you require consistent high performance, you might need a more robust solution.

Avoid this product. Keeps dropping connection.
Plus points the app is very good and useful, setup is quick and easy. That is where my praise ends.Unfortunately despite its advertised promise my experience is the same as most of the other 1 star reviews. I've had mine for 10 days or so and it is proving so unreliable I am returning it.When it works, the speed is good although doesn't really boost the range that much. However it drops connection so frequently it negates any benefit. It you are simply web browsing, you might not notice the dropped connections. However if you are using it in a gaming or other context when a dropped connection causes you an immediate issue, please avoid. I bought this as my Xbox was a bit laggy at times as my main router is on the other side of the house and the signal is not as strong as it could be. Whenever I am connected to the Netgear I get connection drops galore. Every 10 mins or so (sometimes more or less frequent). Using the (very good) app and the LED lights i can see the connection to the router is still there it just keeps dropping connections to devices that are less than 4m awayIf I return devices to wireless connection direct to my main router, stable connection. I have tried pretty much all of the options to no avail. Most disappointed as most other Netgear products I've used have been excellent.
