I had read some great reviews and liked the fact it had 40 tweezers instead of less like many others. I have used an epilator before but not in a long time. I missed how much longer it kept my legs smooth compared to shaving - I also find it is better for my sensitive skin because I don't have to keep going over it with a razor which can make it sore.On first appearance the product comes packaged neatly in a small box. On opening I was pleased with the accessories included - a cooling glove to help make epilating more comfortable initially and various attachments for epilating different parts of the body. Although I was slightly disappointed it didn't come with an adapter plug for the 2 pin cord - but I went out and purchased one of these pretty cheap.The epilator itself works brilliantly. It does feel a little painful initially the first time you epilate but soon get used to it and the more you do it the slower the hair tends to grow back. It's brilliant for armpits as with shaving you tend to get a bit of shadowing where dark hair follicles are growing from under the skin but with epilating it actually pulls the hair from out of the follicle.I would suggest exfoliating regularly if epilating as it adds to the smoothness of skin and prevents any ingrown hairs when they start growing back.Great buy overall and fantastic epilator. For the price it is great value - I did a price comparison check before purchasing and 1 well known supermarket was selling this exact same product for double the price. Plus think of all the money you can save in not having to buy razors!Thanks for reading . I a hairy woman! My leg hair is thick and dark, and shaving lasts 1-2 days until I need to do it again.After reading the reviews I decided to give this a go, and I'm so glad I did!The first time I used it, my leg hair was long, and it took about 45-60 minutes to get rid of it all. It did hurt a bit, particularly around the ankles. But no pain, no gain! I just put some music on, plugged it into the shaver socket in the bathroom, and actually quite enjoyed myself, getting rid of all that hair!Since then (6-7 weeks ago) I've just had to use it every 10 days or so, to remove light re-growth as it comes through. Maybe in sessions lasting 10 minutes or so. The pain is nowhere near as bad after the inital use, because there is MUCH less hair to get rid of, just the stray hairs as they start to come through.More importantly, for the whole 6-7 weeks, my legs have appeared smooth. I could have got away with going swimming, for example, at any point. Closer inspection may have shown up the light regrowth, but you'd have to be looking closely. Nothing like the hairy gorilla legs I used to have after a couple of days of shaving!It's just so much easier to keep on top of it.I'd recommend getting this product that has the mains lead. I think the battery version would be a pain, as it would likely run out when you are doing this for the first time. The lead is really long. I plug it into the shaver point at the top of the bathroom cabinet, and sit in the bath (empty bath, obviously!) to do it.In my experience, it is excellent at plucking even the tiny hairs. You have to go over the same area a bit, back and forth a bit - hence why it takes quite a while when you do this on legs that are really hairy (i.e. the first occasion). But in the long run I have definitely spent less time on my legs, and they have looked smooth and hairless the whole time. I first used razors and quickly moved on to waxing as I don't like how the hair grows back after shaving. Wax gives really good results but I preferred a good fuss free epilator for the legs, it's quick and easy if you don't mind the pain.I ordered this one with \"Free No rush delivery\" option and it arrived the next day anyway, very glad and I couldn't wait to try it straight away and was quite happy to see that the two pins plug works with my regular EU to UK adaptor, so if you already have one, don't rush into buying a \"two pins plug adaptor\".I wouldn't say that the Braun Silk Epil is pain free as I could read in some reviews, but it is indeed much less painful than traditional epilators. Maybe because it is faster and has more tweezers and also because of the little massaging beads. So I am happy with that and really don't need to use the cooling glove afterwards as the pain doesn't last, but having an ice pack (that's what it is basically) can always be useful one day.The legs are very smooth after the epilation, as you would expect with any epilators I suppose. I didn't see much different in performance than with my old one.I like the different attachments as you can use it for smaller/sensitive areas which is great.All in all, I would recommend buying it on sale (bought mine for £34.99).
