Perfect for me
Over the years I’ve transitioned to online music, Bluetooth speakers etc like everyone else but still kept my large collection of CDs dating back to my teens. I recently dug these out of the attic and decided to look at buying a small hifi to listen to them and take me back to those years of Jesus Jones, EMF and The Shamen.I looked online at what I could get and originally ordered a Phillips but had to send that back as it wouldn’t read any cds. I’d put a £300 Panasonic in my basket before I stopped myself and thought ‘why are you paying that much for something to just play a cd periodically.’ That’s when I opted for this - 80 quid and if it’s no good it can go back.Well, it won’t be going back! The unit itself looks great and ok the sound quality isn’t that of a Bose or Denon but it’s perfect for me. Neat, tidy, compact and plays all my original and cd/r cds effortlessly. The sound is quite bass heavy which I like and my concern over it just being 12w is unfounded as it’s plenty loud enough for me.If, like me, you just want a good looking easy to use system for playing cds look no further, it’s perfect

Versatile mlni system with reasonable sound
I was going to buy this initially but got a Panasonic system instead only because it was cheaper. Both are small, look attractive and versatile with CD play, radio and Bluetooth. However the sound is small too. OK for a small room and the quality is not really hi-fi, but for the price I have no complaints. Both sell for £80 plus but only £60 if you get a warehouse deal.

Great HiFi, very pleased with purchase
Compact, stylish, good price. I’m able to play my iTunes through Bluetooth settings & I’m now playing music more often again. My only complaint would be that it’s not quite clear to turn alarm off, although easy enough to turn on. Altogether, I’m very pleased with this purchase & I’ve recommended to friends & family.

Very nice product
Bought to replace my old Hi fi system . I own a bose but there are just those occasions when you just want to play a cd and I have quite a collection. Very easy to use and nice and compact. Radio system easy to set up. Nice and neat and fitted a small space on a shelf perfectly. Sony is always a good bet and this has not disappointed me. Love it. Would have preferred all the buttons to have been on the front panel to make life even easier but this is only because my machine is stored up higher than I can see so only a little point!

QUALITY HI FI AT A VERY AFFORDABLE PRICE
I was looking for a nice looking compact hi fi unit and this fitted the bill, but what is it like as a player, the sound was good but improved when I replaced the thin bell wire speaker cable with some decent speaker cable, now the sound had clarity and depth, sound seperation between music and singer was very good, a decent bass was good without the bass boost, don't place the speakers at the side of the unit, they need to be at least 6 foot apart to get the stero sound. I tried the unit with many types of music from classical, jazz, blues and different type of moden pop music, all came through pretty well

Would not buy again
It's not great value for money, the buttons aren't very responsive to change tracks and it takes quite a while to eject and read a new CD. The radio is fine. I would not buy this again, or if I did around the £30 would be more acceptable. I expected more for £80.

Just what I wanted!
It's a great little stereo for the price and size. There is some background noise if the volume is down low.
