This pencil carrier shrieks quality and attention to detail.
These bags are very well made and constructed. The outside is strong and compact, perfect for carrying a large selection of coloured pencils (72), with plenty of room for one or two colouring books and/or a packet of well wrapped sandwiches. Front and back are lightly padded. The exterior looks pretty robust and thornproof and as if it would offer some protection against light rain at least. Probably a good idea to take a plastic bag for your books if you are going to be outside for long, at least in the UK lol! I accidentally spilled some hot black coffee on mine. It left a hardly visible stain, and did not leak through at all! There is a half size outside pocket, with a small piece of velcro to hold it closed, would be ideal for keys and a small purse, but would have been more secure with a narrow gusset and/or zip closure instead and that's the only minor improvement I could see. Yeah it would cost a little more to make and not everyone would need it.The bag offers a choice of either a robust and strong carrying handle, or a webbing shoulder strap with light shoulder pad and adjustable length. It is attached by strongly sown in D rings, which make it an easy matter to exchange the strap provided if you wish.Inside the pencils are attached by an elastic loop fixed to a firm base. I found that using one pencil per loop enabled one or two of them to slip out. On the other hand, using two per loop does enable one to carry twice as many pencils - although who needs more than 72 pencils on a field trip? If you prefer to carry fewer than 72, the pages carry 12 per side, on three separate and removable holders - again firmly attached and made. Be careful if you ever attach 2 pencils per loop as it will stretch the loops too much.I think this bag offers excellent value for money, and no, I don't work for Derwent. Even indoors they make a compact, safe storage space for my precious pencils. I honestly don't think this bag can be beaten for quality, thoughtful construction, or value for money.

Who the hell designed this??!!
I love Derwent pencils I believe they are the best in the World, the way they lay down and blend...nobody else can come close, that's the benefit of having your own quarry I imagine...and I use loads of Derwent accessories I find them to be top notch quality and worth the little bit of extra money they cost...but they really dropped the ball on this one...what the hell was the designer thinking when he made it an inch too short for holding an A4 drawing pad????...was it so they could get two abreast out of a roll of material rather than only one if they made it an inch longer?...I for one would have rather paid a couple of quid extra for the material and been able to put an A4 pad in it...come on guys your better than this...even the top brass must have ok'd it...did nobody notice this?...other than that it is their usual great quality bag, it fits all my pencils in and a load of extras too like sharpeners, battery erasers etc...it really is good, it has a pouch on the outside and a zippered net section inside for bits and bobs, the zips come right round so you can lay it out flat and access all your stuff, the pages of pencil holders are in the form of pages and held in by ring binder type fixings so you can carry just what you need that day i.e. colour or graphite and take out what you don't need, my Derwent pencil wrap was not big enough to hold all my stuff anymore, but his holds everything and an A5 pad or two, I am really pleased with it...except for the above mentioned bit...So you can buy this with confidence and enjoy your drawing...all the best Boshy...

Love it, highly recommended!
I bought this because I was sick of the leads breaking in my Prismacolors when I took them somewhere in the box they came in. I keep my pencils in this carry bag all the time now. It is really good quality, very sturdy and easy/comfrotable to carry and move around with. I like that it has pockets inside, I am not sure I would put a sketchbook in it as I think it might easily get bent if the bag is full of pencils, but there is technically room for one as it says on the listing. My only complaint is the 132 pencil capacity as Prismas come in 150 colours, but I also bought two of the little 12 pencil wraps which fit inside this bag perfectly, I keep the ones I use most often (skin tones ect) in the little wraps so they are always easy to find. My normal kit that I carry when colouring is a ruler, sketching pencil, erasers, blending pencil, pen with blending fluid in it and a fan make up brush I use to brush all the little bits of pencil off the page so they don't get ground into the page when my hands moveing over it while colouring. I would definitely buy one of these again if needed and recommend it to anyone who wants to take their colouring with them when they go somewhere.
