After spending what seemed an age trying to locate an adapter for my Dell Inspiron 6400 I actually found this one. Perfect! The fit is just like my old original Dell adapter and the length of cord is the same length as the original. I measured the cords side by side, the only difference is on the original Dell the cord to charger is longer and the mains lead shorter, which is reversed on this adapter/mains lead. Not a problem for me as like I said the overall length is the same. It's working fine and the description says it comes with a 12 month warranty. Unfortunately there was no paper work with the adapter so 12 month warranty might not be correct in description. This came very quickly and price is excellent. With this you don't have to hunt down for a mains lead as it is included. Recommended.

Only tried it out of the box for 10 mins but needs a more lengthy test but all looks good so far I would advise people to check there wattage 65/90 the charger supports a wide range and going by the reviews I think people might have been ordering the higher wattage version and using it on the lower wattage systems may explain why some maybe getting shocks and arch sparks be safe and check so I think in some cases it's not the product that's at fault I'm all for backing products that are good and at a reasonable price specially these days good luck

It's an adapter - that is what it does, and it does do it! It isn't as robust as the original adapter that came with the laptop so it'll be interesting to see if it lasts as long. My only whinge is over the delivery. I paid extra to have it delivered next day. I popped out for half an hour and - you've guessed it - that's when it arrived. I had left a note on my door to deliver it to my next door neighbour who is always happy to take parcels and packages in for me. But, no, the dreaded red card was left for me to have to collect the thing. It being a Saturday, I had to wait til the Monday to collect it. Apparently, Royal Mail will only deliver 'special delivery' items to the address on the package, as it has to be signed for. However, if my neighbour had waited in my house, that would have been OK! The Royal Mail said they needed ID, but anyone could give them ID as long as they were in my house! I paid double for this item to get it delivered quickly. I'm not blaming the supplier - but Amazon please make it clear about special delivery arrangements, don't hide it in the small print (or wherever it was I may have been able to see it if I knew to look). I know several people who have been caught out like this, now that I've told friends what happened. Buyers beware - check what 'special delivery' really means.

The Adapter is a replacement for my Dell Inspiron, Its great, works just as good as the original, very good value for money, In fact I love it better than the one that came with the computer, as its much smaller and lighter. If you're thinking of getting this item I would recommend you buy it. Thank you to the seller as it also came within 2 days.

Was a little dubious at first when received as we tried other similar chargers but dell laptops are problems with 3rd party chargers. This one however worked fine and does charge the battery rather than saying plugged in not charging. a good alternative to the expensive dells original part.

Cheap, makes your touchpad sticky and un-usable until you learn which parts of the touchpad still work, would recommend you buy a different one.

This was a very good product, it is high quality and works very well. The only downside I have with it is its length; its a little short, however that is my thought for not really reading the product details. I would definitely reccomend this product to anyone who is in need of a perfect replacemet.
