OlsonMini Mitre Box, Miter-Saw-Accessories, Mitre Box, 1.5 Inches

This item is made of a material that is far too soft to guide a sharp razor saw. The saw is not guided but just cuts where it wants to go. After six cuts this item is useless and will be returned. I purchased it thinking it would be easier and more accurate than my old Jointmaster, how wrong I was.

Good sturdy mitre box. The distance stop is useful, and by reversing the stop in its slot, it is possible to set it between 25 and 107mm. I should have gone for the set with a saw as the slots are extremely (0.3mm approximately) narrow and an exacto blade will not fit.

Good for thin items but it's not as deep as it should be. Couldn't find one deeper. Wouldn't have purchased it unless I was just cutting thin items 0.5 cm or less.

Its much smaller than I anticipated. It is really only for very small height items, e.g 5mm.If you are using it for model railway track I would imagine it would be ideal.
