Came across these maps when I seen a picture of a friends and decided we needed one to map our family adventures. Looked them up on amazon and was suprised at the amount of bad reviews, lots of people complaing about poor quality etc. I was really unsure about wether or not to order but decided to take the risk and I'm glad I did. The quality is excellent and I've had no problems scratching off the silver surface. It is harder to scratch off than a lottery scratch card but that just helps you to not accidently knock off bits you shouldnt. It is best to rest on a hard surface, I've found. i am really pleased with this item, the kids think its great and I've recommended it to everyone!

I love this map. It's perfect for me and my partner to cross off all of the adventures we have and looks super cool as a bonus.Delivery was really quick.I only wish I had brought the option to have the frame too as this would have saved me alot of hassle!

This scratchmap is great. Good quality, though a little difficult to scratch.It would have got 5 stars but it is really difficult to find a frame it will fit in. I ended up buying a larger frame and having a 'border' around all edges.Also, some of the 'slang' words at the bottom of the map are quite offensive.

I was trying to think how we could plan to visit all the counties in the UK and then 'tick' them off as we spend holidays in each. Then I found this map!It's a very good quality poster with a high gloss coating. Over the top of a full colour map Luckies have put the silver 'scratch card' coating which you can carefully remove to indicate that you've visited the county.It comes in a sturdy cardboard tube in the same blue and white colours of the map itself, so would make a good gift.Size of the poster is: 17"x24".

Bought this for my girlfriend and she was over the moon great design great finish overall great product. The areas are easy to scratch just wish it was easier to locate them. would recommend hopefully will scratch off more area soon.

Very difficult to scratch without damaging the map. Very poor quality. Unable to use it.

Lovely idea unfortunately it doesn't work as well as you'd hope. The first map I order had to be sent back, there were some scratches we didn't make and parts (particularly around Derbyshire) were almost impossible to scratch (when you scratched hard enough to get through the first layer the second map came away as well leaving just white paper) though other parts come off easily like a scratch card. The replacement map I got isn't quite that bad but again parts of the top layer are so reluctant to come off when scratched that you can't read the place names well and it looks quite messy (picture attached). It is a nice gift idea but it has definitely left something to be desired.

I don't normally write reviews but I just love this map. I've had great fun scratching of the counties I've visited (and arguing with myself about if visiting one or two places in a county means I can scratch the whole county off - I might be taking it a little too seriously ;) ). It's also a great way of working out where else you'd like to visit. The silver coating has been placed on in two layers. The top layer is thin and comes of quite easily the second layer is a bit tougher. So far the best thing I've found to remove it is the outside edge of a closed pair of nail scissors.
