I ordered these boots recently in a size 7 - my usual size - and the fit was just right in terms of length and roominess, though very wide. I used them with summer weight socks, but imagine it would be even better for winter socks or for very wide feet. I consider my feet to be fairly wide, but these were roomy even on me. However, they are very comfortable and easy to break in. I used them last week on a 12km hike (up and down hills and trails with rocks, mud and other uneven terrain) and then again on another ~7km hike and found they cushioned my feet such that they only started aching a bit towards the end of the ~12 km walk (this is better than some other hiking boots I have). I didn't break them in beforehand - just used them for a short walk to the shops and around my neighbourhood prior to these hikes - and yet they didn't cause any blisters. There was a bit of rubbing on the top of both my big toes where the toe flexes, but nothing anywhere else. I found them to be waterproof (I sprayed them with some extra waterproofer before using, just to be safe, as I do with all leather boots), and have great grip in muddy and wet conditions. They also work really well to stabilise the foot and ankle, though this is because they are fairly stiff. To top it off, I'd feel comfortable wearing them as cold weather/snow boots in London, not just the countryside, as they look quite stylish with jeans. Can't speak to long term durability, but after a few vigorous uses they still look brand new and I think they're great value for money. Highly recommend.

I’ve had these boots for a week.I’m in the process of moving house & regrettably I put my expensive walking boots in storage thinking walking sandals would be adequate for the summer months,& then the British weather let me down.Didn’t want to spend a fortune on boots as I’d already got some good ones,so decided on these.I’ve applied dubbing to them a couple of times this week to soften the leather & give them some extra resistance to the weather.I’ve found the leather to be much harder than my usual boots & didn’t seem as good quality.I always purchase a size up in walking boots & wear with a thick walking sock & sometimes a upgrade on the innersole.(I’ve not upgraded the innersole on these boots yet,but feel it is something that would benefit the comfort level)On saying that,they are comfortable enough on my feet (just not as comfortable as my usual boots)The top of the boots tends to leave my ankle feeling a bit tender after a few hours wear,but that may chance after they are broken in a bit!I have also found the grey area between the boot & the sole is quite a soft foam & is easily scuffed already after a week in the inside of the boot (I don’t think the scuffs will affect the boots performance though)All in all I think these boots are good value for money,not as good as my usual….but you can’t expect that for the £49.99 price paid but when you compare them to my £135.00 boots these boots stand up pretty well.I would recommend them & they look much more premium than the £49.99 paid for them & I’ve even been complemented on how good the boots look!

Arrived today so have just been wearing then about the house to get the feel of them. Even after 4 foot surgeries these are incredibly comfortable which is very hard for me to find. They dont feel heavy or clumpy and are quite flexable round the ankle while still giving good support. Im a 6.5/7 and ordered a 40. There is plenty of room . Good width and there is room for an additional insole if required without making them uncomfortably tight even with thick socks on but can also be tightened enough to be worn with no insoles and normal socks. They are also warm. These haven't been bought for hill climbing or anything too excessive. They have just been bought to keep my feet dry while walking up fields with the dogs. They will be tried out tonight to see if the waterproof claims are true. Will report back later.

Bought these for my wife who after a few weeks of wearing them for dog and beach walking is very pleased with the boots. She says they are waterproof, comfy and lightweight. She usually wears a 6.5 shoe and bought these in a 7 which were a good fit. Also came with a spare pair of laces. She likes the tan colour and is very pleased with the purchase.

I bought these boots for walking in winter weather. They are nice boots for the money. I find that they come up large which is not a bad thing for wearing big thick socks. They are super comfy from the off. However, they are only waterproof up to the tongue. In that they let in water through the “Gortex?” Tongue. The tongue is quite low down on the boot so quite a bit of water gets in from rain from above and wet in long grass. I think that marketing them as waterproof will cause folks to be disappointed as I am. It would be better to have a leather tongue for them to be waterproof. I will keep them for dry days as they are a good looking, comfy boot.

Lovely packaging and spare pair of laces arrived next day. Started walking in them almost immediately. I wear walking boots twice a day almost regardless of the weather walking my GSD. Mixture of moorland and forest, road walking and hard core tracks. Weather is irrelevant so need a lightweight and waterproof boot, so far this is doing what I expected. No need for breaking in and very comfortable.

These boots are so comfortable as I’m on my feet all day they’re amazing would certainly buy them again

Da es hier in Niedersachsen gefühlt seit November durchregnet, haben diese Schuhe ihren Härtetest überstanden!!!Ich muss bei Wind und Wetter mit zwei Labrador Retrievern mehrmals täglich durch Feld, Wald und Wiese laufen... diese Schuhe haben bis heute dafür gesorgt, dass ich immer trockenen Fußes zu Hause angekommen bin!Namhafte Hersteller für Outdoor- Kleidung haben das, trotz 3-fachem Preis, nicht gewährleisten können...Die Schuhe passen perfekt, auch dicke Socken haben noch Platz, die Sohle hat einen guten Grip und das Leder zeigt auch nach 3 Monaten noch keine Ermüdungserscheinungen. Auch 14 Tage Salzwasser und Wattwanderungen haben den Schuhen nichts anhaben können.Für diesen Preis - einfach unschlagbar!Absolute Kaufempfehlung!!!

Leider sind die Schuhe nicht wasserdicht.Test 4 Wochen nach Lieferung bei Dauerregen - Laufen mit dem Hund.Leider sind die Schuhe nicht reklamierbar, da der "Defekt" nach Ablauf der üblichen Rückgabezeit aufgefallen ist. Leider bieten die Standardmöglichkeiten bei Amazon hierfür keine Alternative. Den Verkäufer kann man auch nicht kontaktieren. Alles sehr unerfreulich
