I use this for engraving silver and it works well. I've used other things for engraving and this works the same apart from being a lot noisier than other machines. You might need some earplugs if you use it continuously for long periods of time.

Does the job but takes a bit of practice and experimentation to get it right. I found the key is not pressing too hard and letting the engraver do the work

I had new tools, power tools that I needed to engrave my initials on.This engraver was spot on for my requirements. Its compact, easy to use and excellent value for money, I would definitely recommend this product.

For the price, I think item is really quite a decent buy. True it is very noisy. Works well on very soft metals and plastics, but doesnt do a very good job on hard metals. For doing kids trophies and medals is really quite decent.

Very difficult to use as sent the first one back as pencil was not sitting in the slot got a second one thought was just a faulty one the second one slots in but tighten so still cant use the engraver

Was not prepared to pay silly amount for an engraved bottle of champagne so I bought this and engraved a bottle myself! I practised on an empty bottle and it was fine. I imagine anyone with neat handwriting or creative flair could do a beautiful job - but I was pleased with my efforts and I think a lot of people will be getting engraved items for presents in the future!

i use this to prep fossils and it does it very well, but one thing its VERY loud, when i first turned it on it made me nearly jump out of my socks. the stencils are nothing but useless but i didn't need them anyway. its great for removing the matrix around fossils i just need to find different shaped bits for it then it will be perfect.

Very noisy. Could be heard around the whole house.
