great quality pencils
This is a great set of pencils for sketching. It consists of 12 pencils - each with a different degree of 'hardness' (resulting in a range of blacks, as well as different thickness of lines). The range includes 6B, 5B, 4B, 3B, 2B, B, HB, H, 2H, 3H, 4H and 5H. At '5H' you be able to draw a very thin line in light black (great for when you're initially sketching out your work in the planning stage). At '6B' you'll be drawing a much thicker line, and the black will be very dark (great for shading). As such, these pencils allow for a fantastic range and blending of blacks. The hexagonal design of the barrel allows for a comfortable hold. Overall, this Derwent product provides great quality.

Much better quality than expected for the low price.
I Iove these pencils, they are much better quality than I expected for the low price. It is great to have such a range in one tin. I have been using these to produce monochrome colouring in adult colouring books to improve my art skills. The range allows me to produce great effects depth of shade from light grey through to jet black. I am glad I bought them and will definitely buy these again.

Good quality
Really happy with these sketching pencils. A good range of different hardnesses from 6B-5H and come in a lovely flat storage tin so they can be carried about in a bag. Bought these as they are British made and quality brand reputation and they are noticeably good quality and sharpen perfectly. Good value for price too.

Great!
Great pencils for art classes, first time student. I love sketching, more than painting etc... so these pencils allow me to do perfect shading in all my work. Highly recommend.

(from 3-6B are all getting super small) and will definitely be a returning customer
Arrived in outstanding condition many months ago, and i draw almost every day almost always using these! I'm only just beginning to wear the pencils down enough, (from 3-6B are all getting super small) and will definitely be a returning customer!!!Top quality pencils, easy to sharpen with any sharpener ive tried (Don't use a knife, my friend did this to theirs and completely ruined them)And also easy to use on any type of paper/canvas!

Very Nice for a Good Price
Just started learning to draw and thought i would get some proper pencils. Much better than using a standard pencil feels much lighter and controlled. The 12 options makes shading also a lot easier when i want a really light shade for background to make the actual sketch seem to stand out or the much darker to create shadow or darken lines. Would reccomed these to anyone and very cheap too.

Great for GCSE students
Brought these for my son who will start GCSE art in September. They are great quality and sharpen well. They are a good midrange set of pencils going from 6B to 5H. He is using them to complete a series of sketches of birds with pencil etching and are perfect!
