Mcdavid Knee Support Strap

The nature of my work means i spend at least 12 to 15 hours a day standing on my feet and at least a quarter of that time is running up and down flights of stairs. I recently developed a pinching sensation just below my right knee cap every time i put my weight on the leg which was not in a straight limb manner, making the stairs an uncomofortable part of my day. After looking up a few dozen articles i realized i was developing patella tendonitis and looked for a solution. I could not believe the relief i was looking for would come in such a simple form. TBH i chose The McDavids product based solely on budget reasons as i did not want to lay out too much on trialing such an item (some being 3 or 4 times the price). The quality of the manufacturing seems quite high, with both the feel and ease of use to be excellent as well. Cleaning is a simple matter and does not damage the item as i thought it may. The end result now is i feel better when wearing this during my working days and have noticed a major reduction in discomfort AND and increase in strength when not wearing it.

I have played football to a good level for over 40 yrs and for the past few years have suffered from tendonitis of the patella ligament. I was not keen to become addicted to anti-inflammatory medication and there's only so many times the ice pack can come out. The Jumper's knee strap was recommended to me and having used it now for a couple of months I have noticed a huge improvement in my knee. To avoid getting 'addicted' to using the strap, I tend to use it only when actually training (running or working out). I have found it best to wear nice and tight and it surprised me how the knee was not so aggravated or painful after exercise. All in all, a super little piece of kit !

Quite a basic support but really works well and does the job. I get knee pain from an old injury and this does releave the pain when running.

Pain went from 9 to about zero. Wore when descending stairs and general walking about. ONly drawback of it is you HAVE to put it on absolutely correctly or the velcro itches like crazy. BUt great piece of kit. Sadly i lost mine and now need to replace it !

The straps (I ordered 2) were too short to fit around the circumference of my knee. Fortunately my wife was able to extend the Velcro to make the straps useable. After modification the straps when fitted provided the support needed for my knees which have been diagnosed as having no cartilage left due to a life's wear and tear. Allows me to walk much easier and reduces much of the pain I previously experienced. Will suffice as an interim measure prior to waiting for two new knees to be fitted on the NHS!!

This strap works much better than some other styles because the strip that places pressure on the patellar is made of firm rubber rather than foam. The rubber also provides better grip to help keep the strap in the right place. It is also much slimmer than most designs, providing greater comfort and uninhibited movement for me, as well as focusing the pressure more precisely where it is needed.I would have thought the one size should fit almost anyone. I have relatively slim knee joints and have used size small in other brands: this strap certainly has capacity to go down to xs and should reach up to giant size.

It is too small, uncomfortable and already damaged after wearing it the first time.

Very good product. Have used it for an official basketball game and felt no pain or soreness on the knees afterwards. Recommended.
