MANGOPOP Womens High Waist Bodycon Mini Short Faux Leather Skirt with Slit

I loved this skirt. It’s sexy, well made. I paired it with black stockings, boots and a long sleeve bodysuit. Loved it. It runs true to size. I ordered a large, I have wide hips. For reference, 167lbs, 5’7”, 31 waist, 44 hips.

First off—definitely keeping even though not perfect fit overall. Here’s why: I got the skirt on a Lightning Deal (so less than $20—I would not pay more for it otherwise). It’s very cute in burgundy and pairs well with plenty of styles of tops, especially leotards in black, charcoal, gray, forest green (around winter/Christmas). It can be dressed up or down. It’s faux leather and can be worn with an oversized, slouchy turtleneck sweater and tall boots (casual look) or a delicate lace or artsy top with a great deal of jewelry for a dressy look. Versatility is important.Sizing:Purchased in LargeI’m 5’6’, 153lbs (longer torso/shorter legs proportionally, wider hips, ample rear end). I don’t have a perfectly flat stomach, but I certainly don’t hold a large pouch or belly. If you do—I would recommend significant shapewear to wear under your skirt/outfit. The skirt sits high (at least on me with wide hips), so it comes up above my hips (as expected) and rests just below my navel. The length makes it hit me mid-thigh, but there’s also a wide slit. So beware if you don’t want something that shows quite a bit of leg. I’m comfortable with showing a lot of leg, so this worked for me.As for the paneling below my navel, the skirt doesn’t hold any of your tummy in on its own. That’s why I say that if you have a larger belly or low-belly pouch, you probably want to wear some shapewear just to help the skirt appear smooth and not bunch up awkwardly when you sit down or lean over. The skirt can fit you fine on your natural waist, but if you have that post-baby pouch you’re gonna probably get some unflattering “bulging” below the waistline of the skirt. Buying a larger size won’t help, that will just make the skirt hang off your natural waist and look like an A-line instead of a mini.Color:Purchased in BurgundyIn my opinion, the “Burgundy” is not very deep. I would consider it closer to a “Red Wine.” 🍷But to be more specific, a “Cabernet” color. To me, a true Burgundy has quite a bit of dark purple with red in it. This color looks like a dark red with some medium purple hues.I hope this review helps.

I bought a size up because of some reviews, but it fit me more true to size, so the skirt was a little big, but didn’t have time for an exchange. Even though it was a size too big, it worked well. Very comfortable

I did return this, but not due to quality. I'm 5'1", about 110 lb, and it can be hard to find a skirt that is 'short' for me. The texture was really nice on this skirt, the fit was great, it was simply a little bit too long for me!

The smell is NAUSEATING. I am convinced this skirt just took years off my life. This skirt will be the direct result of my untimely death. There has to be some type of corrosive chemical from hell that is bound to every fiber of it's being. It will haunt you well after you have rid yourself from it's pungent grasp. I can barely type this review... and I have never wrote a review before. This is how concerned I am for the general public. I held this skirt close in disbelief to figure out where this overwhelmingly fishy smell was burning my nostrils. Soon after, my chest got tight, throat hurt, light headed, heart palpitations, face tingled where the smell radiated into my pores.... I'm not kidding. Faux snake skin lovers are under attack. Has good stretch , looks good for the price doesn’t look plastic at all. True to size.

The media could not be loaded.  I really wanted a leathery skirt for a concert and I thought this was the one. I liked the brown and wine color skirts so I bought the brown in M and the wine in S. Apparently I’m in between those sizes, the M was too big and the S was too small. Even had one of them fit better, they both would have been returned. The description of high waist wasn’t lying. These skirts are soooo awkwardly long on your body. Just not flattering on me. The waist has no stretch to it. The colors were great and as expected but the skirt was just all wrong. I lost my body in it and at the end, wasn’t at all what I wanted.

I am 163lbs, 5"4 and got a Large and it fit perfect! Super comfortable and stretchy. First time I wore it was to a club and it did what it needed to. Lol. I like how it's high waisted and a good length.

The skirt is as described, however it stretched out a lot. I should have gotten a medium but I didn't want it to cut into my stomach. I wish it was more fitted in the legs and a bit shorter. I'm only 5 feet so it runs a lot longer on me than others I saw in review pics. Happy with it, but its okay- nothing special.
