I bought this mascara, then I was so disappointed learn that Laverana, the company, will be exporting into China. It is compulsory that any company that sells cosmetics in China, pay for its products or the ingredients contained within, to be tested on animals. That means that companies that have been cruelty free for years, will no longer be so.What a pity.I have discovered that M & S own brand products are not tested, and they are conveniently on the high street.

My eyes were becoming irritated with high street brands and as I try to exclude chemicals in household and personal goods, I decided to give this a whirl. I had used a Lavera mascara years ago and was disappointed. However, this one is great. If you want big bold lashes, you have to build up in layers and you will always have a natural look as opposed to false lash length. But the lashes feel silky, no clumping. Yes, if you rub your eyes, it smears a litte, but that's a small downside. My eyes no longer itch and I feel I can apply mascara every day, even several coats. Good sized tube so I think this represents great value for money.

I only scored this a 4 because I recently found a better one for me. This one takes several layers to get any curl/height/volume. Not too onerous but maybe not suitable for girls who like big impact mascara in a hurry in the morning. Having said all this, this mascara is organic and for that I recommend it. It was better than the first natural mascara I tried.

i really like very black eyelashes as I'm blonde and the mascara brings my eyes to life. this mascara is not as black as other brands I tried before such as Christian Dior or Lancome and you have to be very careful for not smearing your eyes when you are applying it or when it rains...unless you like panda eyes..!

Very disappointing. I use lavera foundation and was expecting a usable mascara. The brush is lovely but no matter how many applications, I just cannot tell I have mascara on. I thought they had forgotten to put the mascara in the tube. But half way through the day, I had panda eyes so they had put some in. If anyone can recommend a non toxic, good mascara I would appreciate it...

I am not a fan of this one, it does run and you end up looking like a panda at the end of the day. And it's not as volumising as it looks. At least it's natural I guess, but the Green people volumising mascara is my favourite so I won't be buying this one again I'm afraid.

The mascara is good, but the brush/wand is too big for me, I may have just chosen the wrong one - maybe being INTENSE it needs a big brush. quality of the mascara is good though.

Lavera do a good range of make up. The majority of their ingredients are very natural, which is especially important when the mascara is next to your eyes. The amount of black coverage works well & no problems with clumping
