This is such a great lamp. Charge it up through a USB power supply or USB slot on your PC (cable supplied) for a few hours and thats it, for the next few hours you have a portable reading or desk lamp. With a smart and clean design this suits anywhere and as its so light its going to get 'borrowed'.The arm with the light on folds down against the case and hinges through to 180 degrees (so it vertical to the base).Controls are just as simple with 2 touch switches on the base - one switch turns it to full brightness, a second touch dims it, a third it to dim and a fourth touch turns it back off. The other touch switch turns a mood light on/off under the lamp which scrolls through a series of colours. You can have either light on with or without the other. I guess leavinf the base on at night would make it easy to find say in a tent when its pitch black.I use this by my bed so I can read at night and after Im snuggled in I dont have to get out of bed to turn the main light off.

The touch sensitive switch provides three lighting levels, from full brightness to about half brightness, a forth press turns the lamp off. When plugged in to a USB source a red LED lights on the back to indicate that it is charging. The light head can be set at any angle across a 180 degree range, with a click stop at completely vertical, if you wanted to illuminate some wall art for example.Below the main power switch, another touch sensitive switch turns on a very pleasant night light on the base. This cycles though a variety of colours before settling on blue. The colour is quite subtle so won't disturb sleep.At full brightness the LED is rated at 4 Watts and provides plenty of illumination. At 5V and with a 1200mAh battery the theoretical illumination period would be 1.5 hours. In reality the 2 hours quoted is probably realistic for setting 2. I haven't run it for more than an hour to verify this. In reality I would probably leave it plugged in to a USB socket.I love this lamp, the only issue is where to use it, lounge, bedroom, maybe even in the campervan. Hmm...

I'm extremely happy with this little lamp, it is really bright and just the job for reading on these dark nights especially if, like me, your eyesight is not what it used to be. It takes up little room and has a pleasant modern look. The 'atmosphere' light in the base, in operation, is barely noticeable and is, to my mind, pretty much a waste of time, I would have preferred efforts were made instead to give it a longer battery life. That said it is a great little lamp and excellent value for money.

I bought this for my son, and he LOVES this lamp. He takes it up to bed with him every night and brings it downstairs during the day too.The base has a colour-changing effect which is a nice feature for night-time use. You have the option to switch this feature off. The lamp has three levels of brightness, as well as a closed (or downward) position and a 90-degree angle of downward light. There is also an off position, so there are 4 positions to this touch control and 2 positions for the base colour spectrum light.CONCLUSION----------------I recommend this portable lamp, as it is attractive, simple to use and gives powerful light as well as a beautiful colour spectrum light at the base. My son LOVES this and I only wish I had purchased one for myself too!!

This item is very bright when plugged in and fine for what I need. However it does not stay bright for long once unplugged from mains charger so overall I'm not impressed. I'm not sure if mine is faulty but I couldn't find "contact seller" details to advise of problem. Just need to point out that in fairness to seller they haven't had a chance to respond to this problem

The desk lamp arrived very quickly and well protected. I quite like it because it is very lightweight and portable, so you can move it from one place of the house to another quite easily unlike bulky lamps.I have used it on my desk and also on my bedside table and it is great as it has a few different intensities so you can adjust how bright you want the light to be by just pressing a touch button.The maximum degree of light intensity is quite bright and the lamp does not consume much electricity as it uses 4 Watts. The light lasts around a couple of hours on after it has been fully charged and it can be easily recharged using the USB cable provided with the lamp.Also, the head of the lamp can be rotated to a maximum of 180 degrees so you can adjust it to the desired angle that you want.The bottom part of the lamp has a non-slippery material, so the lamp does not slip. There is also an additional touch button with the brightness symbol to activate a flicking light at the base of the lamp with 8 different colours.

I am really happy with this product. I purchased it, as an alternative light source, for when I get up in the night to tend to my baby. The main light was too bright, and kept dazzling me, but this lamp is just perfect. The light is bright, but not so bright, it dazzles you! It's a great size, so doesn't take up too much space on the bedside table, and looks good too. Also very happy with the charge time. Highly recommended.

This product is great. Bought for doing puzzles in poorly lit rooms, it's very good for jigsaws! The fact you can take it away from the plug is so useful - it's since been utilised all over the house for all sorts of things. Battery only lasts so long, but can easily plug it into a battery and it lasts really well. Highly recommend - great value for money.
