A very good 90 min REGION B/2 3D / BLU-RAY that is both interesting and informative and well presented by the down to earth Hunter Ellis. I bought this documentary for the Blu-ray and not the 3D so I am unable to comment on the latter. The onscreen menu allows a choice of 2D or 3D and a eight scene selection if desired.Hunter Ellis travels through Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania where he meets some Maasai people to investigate their way of life and travels to an elephant orphanage to interview staff who help these gentle giants. On safari some of the wildlife featured include crocs, apes, zebras, lions, water buffalo, hippos, vultures, warthogs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, gazelles, flamingoes, monkeys, mountain gorillas, wildebeest, cheetahs and hyena.I highly recommend this DVD for family viewing especially children due to the variety of wildlife and the close up camera work that is very good.

I felt compelled to add my voice to the reviews of this documentary.I bought it for the 3D version and it has become one of my firm favourites.Hunter Ellis is an excellent presenter who is both enthusiastic and knowledgable.The camera work is excellent and the 3D outstanding.It is magical viewing in 3D and a decent documentary in its own right.I would add that most 3D documentaries are between 44 and 60 minutes long, (I have a large collection) but this film is 90 minutes in length making it outstanding value for money.If you love your 3D then buy this, if you like Africa and wildlife you will be in heaven.

I bought a 3D television from Amazon in June this year & I bought this blue-ray 3D disc as a trial. The narrator,Hunter Ellis presents a comprehensive view of a host of animals, including the "BIG 5" Lion, Leopard,Elephant, Buffalo & Rhino,from 3 different nations across the African sub-continent,Kenya,Uganda,& Tanzania.The journey begins by Jeep & meeting the local people to pick up supplies at a local market then goes cross country to meet the animals Giraffe are 1st on the list followed closely by Warthogs & onto Leopards the host then takes you onto a Mother Cheetah with 6 cubs hunting Thompson Gazelle after leaving the Cheetahs to eat in peace they come across a family of Elephants then go on to Lions, Vultures, Buffalo, Rhino, & Hyena & meets the Masai & view the Wildebeest & Zebra herds on their migration across the Mara including the deadly river crossing.Then we see Chimps & Monkeys later he takes you onto the water on a boat where you meet Hippo & Crocodiles towards the end of the story he meets a family of Gorillas including a huge Silverback later on he takes you to meet a huge flock of African Flamingos & takes to the air in a hot air balloon to get a closer look at Mount Kilimanjaro.This production has life & death dramas unfolding before your very eyes with spectacular & breathtaking views of the 3 dimensional landscapes & wildlife the next best thing to actually going to Africa & watching the Animals in real life.

As a 3d experience it was fine and quite enjoyable.As a documentary it was shockingly bad. Hunter Ellis was dreadful and his skills were laughable. His commentary was really poor and there was no sensitivity whatsoever for his environment;so much so that I became quite angry whilst being bored silly by it. The muzak was 100% inappropriate. irrelevant and awful.BUT...........the 3d experience wasn't bad and I will watch it again. I'll turn off the volume and provide my own background though.

Arrived promptly but dvd was not secure in packaging and was rattling around in the box so i hope it plays ok as i bought it as a gift for my uncles birthday as hes mad on animals and will be very disapointed if the disc is scratched

Interesting documentary not the commercial likes of attenbourgh but fresh and enlightening. The filming with the use of 3d was great and the close ups of wild animals was fantastic IMPRESSED

this item was a good purchase,feels like the animals are in the room with you my grandkids were amazed and hopefully get an understanding of what wildlife looks like in their own habitats.There was a couple of scenes that saw the chase andeating of prey but not actual kill.

The "storyline" was obvious as the title would suggest. As for the "reviewer" and I use the term laughingly; we are all sorry yours didn't play. But this is NOT the forum to hear abouit your technical complaints. I hope other potential buyers will se thru your complaints as I did. Just send it back, fool.

La qualité du reportage et de la définition en 3D et magique, superbement bien réalisé à voir et à revoir sans modération, domage que le reportage soit en Anglais et que cela n'avait pas été préciser l'ors de l'achat.Mais cela reste une trés bonne aquisition, pour tout ce qui aiment la nature sauvage.Fabio

Ich hatte eigentlich die DVD in deutsch bestellt und in englisch bekommen. Somit verstehe ich nichts und kann den Erläuterungen nicht folgen. Damit ist die Freude getrübt. In 3D Format ist nichts zu sehen. Leider.

De belles images 3D.A savoir, le film est en Anglais non sous titré.Le prix payé est plus que correct quand on pense au racket exercé sur les BR3D en général. Comment voulez vous que les ventes de cette innovation décollent ?

Transaction rapide et sans problème.Trés jolie reportage animalier pour toute la famille.Seul bémol, j'ai du m'y prendre a 3 fois avant que le lecteurs DVD reconnaisse la compatibilité avec la télé 3D. C'est la première fois que j'ai ce problème. Finalement tout est rentré dans l'ordre aprés avoir redémarer le lecteur DVD. Problème lié au DVD ou au lecteur???

immagini fantastiche e molto belle ma non c'è nel menu iniziale la possibilità di scegliere la lingua, come su tutti i dvd. esiste solo la lingua inglese

Magnifique film documentaire 3D à voir pour les amoureux de l'Afrique.

alors là, je suis bluffet par ce doc sur ce safari la 3d est parfaite très beau travail je recommande au fans de la 3d et surtout tous les amoureux de la nature !

Un superbe documentaire 3D sur la savane du Kenya d'une durée de 90 Minutes. Seul bémol les scènes sur les mêmes animaux sont répétitives mais bon pour le prix on a passé une bonne soirée.

Des effets 3D à ne pas s'en priver. On se trouve carrément parmi les animaux et faire vraiment un safari mais dommage que le commentaire soit en anglais !!!
