The Match for Matcha preparation.
I initially bought this sieve, to remove the very fine stones/seeds you encounter when making fruit smoothies containing berries.I have found yet another perfect use for it. Sifting Japanese Matcha Tea powder. I've just started drinking this very 'health beneficial' tea, and thought that my powered milk frother would break up any of the small lumps, normally found when making it. Not so, unfortunately.I then decided to buy one of the sifters, specially made for preparing this tea powder, but thought I'd try my sieve first. It worked perfectly, producing a '100%' lump-free powder. Any lumps were left in the sieve. I quickly broke them up using the handle of a teaspoon and sifted them.Job well done and money saved. 10/10 !

Perfect for cake sieving & stocks
I bought this sieve due to it's conical nature as my existing one showers the counters in flour when I am baking. Not only does it hold a relatively large amount of flour, it also sieves items quickly with a lot less of a snow storm in the kitchen then usual. It also works very well as a small colander, draining pasta and vegetables just as effectively as a normal colander yet taking up less space in the dishwasher.A basic yet extremely effective addition to any kitchen.Update: It is now 2017, 6 years after I first reviewed this product and it is still going strong!I've recently started to make my own stocks and broths and this sieve has been invaluable in the process. The idea of getting filters or cheese cloths or anything like that seemed like a terrible and bothersome ordeal, so I tried seeing how this sieve would handle the job. It is fantastic! Even when I'm lazy and I use off the shelf herbs, the sieve is so fine that it catches them all, leaving my stocks and soups completely clear. This sieve has proven to be invaluable in my kitchen and I cannot recommend it enough.

Broke after four months !
Sorry, but it's useless. Purchased on13th Feb 2019 and the weld - connecting the handle to the sieve - broke today. According to Amazon my 'return window' for this product closed on the 15th March. So that's four months use and no redress. The metal welds on this product are useless. Do not buy.

What a find!
Been looking for a siev to make coulis - lots of cheap plastic ones on the market - this is well worth the extra, it's robust, finished well with the fine mesh l have been looking for. I could not be more pleased with the item!

Good qaulity
Very well made with strong to sieve weld, very fine might need spoon to assist last crumbs of flour. Disadvanges is not as easy as a wider sieve which is quicker over a wider bowl.Overall a well made product leaves the cheap likely to break handle welds sieves in the shade

Kitchen craft Conical sieve
Great piece of kitchen equipment, saves flour going all over the worktop instead of the mixing bowl.Nice to handle and a fine sieve, should last a long time.

Sturdy and well made sieve
This is a very sturdy and well manufactured conical sieve. We have used it for straining gravy and sauces without any issue and the holes are the appropriate size to let liquid but not other particles through. Very pleased with the purchase
