Great value product, if you need a micro ratchet kit.
Really solid micro ratchet that works really well. The selection of bits is really good although, from my point of view a 1/4" hex- 1/4" sq drive bit, would have made the kit much more versatile. This unit was bought to replace the 12 piece Makita P-79142 Screwdriver and Ratchet Set, which arrived with the, it seems, compulsory damaged clip that holds the ratchet to the bit storage unit. This unit/case is much larger than the one it replaced but at least you can put it in bag and be sure that all the parts are there. So, all in all a nice little kit from Makita that will certainly get some use.The Supplier, Toolstop, gave great service and the item was delivered a couple of days before it's promised delivery date.

Excellent quality and extraordinary value
The set was just over £17, and at that price it's an unbeatable value proposition. It's an uncommonly well thought out set of bits as well, with a range of hex, torx, Phillips, pozi, square and slotted ones that'll equip you for pretty much any fastener you're likely to encounter outside specialist applications.Quality is high, including the box, which is compact and made of very tough plastic. Access to the bits is also very good - some of those plastic cases Wera use grip the bits so tightly you need pliers to get them out! The little ratchet also works much better than expected and comes in handy when even a stubby holder won't go low enough.Nothing's beyond improvement, but at under twenty quid, it's a top recommendation. I'll probably buy another one!

Makita pocket toolbox P-79158-39 pc bit set
Makita at her best, I needed some hand hex bits as mine were getting old and knackered, so what to buy and how much to spend, I came across these on another very well known auction site, but the price really put me off, so remembering that I had prime membership here I started to look and came across this little set from Makita, this is really a very good well packaged mini tool hex set.The box is very sturdy the boxes hinge is a proper hinge albeit it’s plastic, even the catch has a metal pin as the hinge, this is a quality box, there are 36 hex bits, comprising of 6 Phillips 6 Pozzie 3 slot 3 square 9 Allen and 9 Torque, a 1/4” socket, a quick release extension and a very sweet 3” mini ratchet with forward and reverse, a truly amazing mini set, they are all colour coded which may be a gimmick but it’s very easy to organise them should you drop the box. What I really like is that you can remove the hex inserts and organise the bits as you want them, this really is a great little tool box which will come in very useful.I’m no expert but these are I think just for hand and not for power tools as I suspect that they would shatter under heavy torque from a power tool. The price here is as good as anywhere else, but I bought this Makita mini tool set it was much cheaper.

Great set for covering all the bases
This set is nicely presented and the baby ratchet isn't just entertaining, it's actually really good in tight spots. The set is very complete and covers a really good range of bits - it's almost worth having just for the square bits and the smaller hex bits.So far the bits have held up ok, though they do have a tendency to chip a little under really high torque, like pulling pieces in with a 3 inch screw, this makes me think they'd not be much cop in an impact, since that was a drill. They didn't slip when they chipped though, just made a snapping noise and continued on, in terms of bite and fitting all the bits I've used seem to have a good hold of the screw. The bit holder is nice but can stick at times, however it runs straight, which is more than I can say for some of them.

Excellent quality set
Everything about this set is quality. The case is solid. Closes and snaps shut firm, lid doesn't flap. Non-slip material outside with soft corners in case it's dropped. Bits are firmly held in place and presented in a neat fashion. It is a small ratchet but have used it for all sorts and sizes of jobs. The nice thing about it being a small ratchet is you can fit into tight spaces, but the set is still useful in any other scenario. Has lots of bits for a whole variety of tasks. These bits are solid, have had bits in the past chip, bend etc. Have not used them in a power tool, and do not expect to. These will definitely last, at least if used as intended. Love the magnetic push lock for the bits, and the ratchet is magnetic too. Also comes with a 1/4in socket adapter, but haven't used that yet.Cannot stress enough how pleased I am with this purchase. Amazing value for money.

Top quality and versatile
This is such an amazing little screwdriver set. I am admittedly a makita fan but this little set is so well built, I keep finding excuses round the house to use it. For little jobs it;s also way easier than bothering to get my cordless electric set out. The ratchet is top quality, smooth operation and is just a joy to use. Also coming with hex fittings too means I don;t have to dig about for my lost allen keys any longer :-)

Great set, nicely made tips, the small ratchet is lovely to use
I've used this for dismantling computers, furniture, my TV that died in the thunderstorm last week, stripping and cleaning my coffee machine, adjusting my coffee grinder (some really small grub screws), and removing the headlight cluster of a 2010 VW Scirocco to get in and straighten some body work on the front nearside wing - VW had put in a couple of difficult to get to bolts that needed a small tool to work in the space and this had no trouble at all.I love it, it's a go-to tool, if I'm fixing something, I grab it. The tips are well made, the case is the nuts, the ratchet fits my hand nicely. If it came with some security torx tips it would have been perfection.
