I don't see why not, they'll absorb moisture thus hopefully reduce the chances of mould growing but I would first investigate why the mould is growing. Hope this helps!

The packages as you see them are not air tight. these are how you should use them to absorb moisture. the moisture will pass through the packaging and be absorbed by the gel inside.

Q: How do you know when to replace a pouche or that it has stopped working?

Hi, Its like a sachet of salt , if it shakes its fine , if it doesn't then replace it. I do have the self indicating ones listed that might be better if you need to keep a close eye on things. The food ones are yellow but the blue ones are for anything. Theres maybe about 6 blue gels in a pack of 50 and if they get damp they change colour to pink. This lets you see from a distance.
