It helped me a-lot with wearing wig and keeping it from moving I loved it .

Q: Does it stop the wig from making a indention on the forehead?

I've not had an issue with a wig making an indention but I'm sure it would help. It prevents the wig from slipping, too. Just don't make it too tight or it'll stretch out.

Q: Is the band adjustable to Petite

It fits the average head size and can be adjusted. Not sure what "Petite" is when it comes to a "head". You have to be more specific.
