Great oil, great value
Iliada, Excellent Extra Virgin Olive Oil!This is a superior quality award winning olive oil at a very fair price! It has PDO status (Protected Designation of Origin) A sign of quality. It has a peppery taste and a rich fragrance. I'm no oil expert, but it smells like cut grass and I understand that the slight burn to the back of the throat is a sign of a good oil. It is pressed from the Koroneiki olives grown in the Kalamata region of southern Greece. and high in Polyphenols so it's good for your health. It is very tasty on salads and would compliment some balsamic vinegar to soak up in fresh bread. You can taste the quality of this oil!It comes in a litre tinned container, which I'm not used to, but I understand this protects the oil from sunlight. The opening is not something I've ever encountered. I really struggled with the first one, but discovered I had not extended the plastic hoselike opening fully enough, which caused the oil to run down the tin when pouring. This time round I fully extended the 'hose' and it works perfectly. Highly recommend. The best I've tried! I can imagine that this is one of those oils that would be beneficial to drink a spoon a day!

A decent brew
I've enjoyed this evoo. I drink a shot of it twice a day and it goes down a treat. There's flavour and the pepperonis at the back of my throat as I swallow that's a sign of a good evoo. The drip free mechanism at the opening isn't totally drip free but this isn't a major issue. The other issue I'd like to see resolved is the cans labelling doesnt tell you the level of polyphenols in the oil.Otherwise, I'm looking forward to my next bottle.
